  • I would say it's probably not worth it just because you will most likely have sensory loss and erectile dysfunction which for most would be worse than the problem its self. Theres more risks as well, but those alone sound like a nope from me.

  • I absolutely agree if you need cloud storage it could be worth it, but I definetly don't. I am pretty dull, local storage and backup to a NAS is fine for my simple life haha.

  • Good to see the correct response to this post. Nothing about what they are doing is off. Im still using office 2019 personally since i got it really cheap like a year before it went EOL. I use it so infrequently for personal use it doesnt bother me, but its nice to have.

    On top of this there is office 2024 which if you did still need to move to another version thats equivlant then this is what you want. I am honestly shocked more people dont just buy the stand alone office over 365 subscriptions. Is it because Microsoft stopped advertising that they exist? 1 time fee over monthly anyday.

  • If you have never tried platters before, i highly recommened it. They give you cups of white sauce to smother the food in and its so tasty. Yes i do believe its just called white sauce. Theres also a red sauce but thats to spicy to me.

  • I might be crazy, but I feel like I am the only one who dislikes ranch. Its just so bland and always prefer blue cheese. I mostly only have it with wings anyway. There is a place by me that does mexican food and im pretty sure they give me ranch with this chicken appatizer, but its filled with dill and tastes great. If it was a variation of ranch then there is definetly hope for it! Just to bland on its own and cant figure out what all the rage is for it.

  • This sounds like me honestly. Although i do get past the menu and load screens haha. Sometimes i want to play something and just end up not forcing myself to so i just sit there instead. I am also fine with playing with my friends anytime, but we have been stuck playing the same game for 6 years now... just fall guys every night or every other night haha. Its mindless fun and not competitive and easy to talk about whatever during it. We want to pick up a new game but theres pretty much nothing else like it and we all cant agree on anything else. We dont want a game that needs commitment, just something we can jump into for an hour and laugh.

  • The only thing this applies to me for is my psn account. Not that i do it often, but if i do sign on to play something during the day and work hours i sign on as offline just in case. At night ill play with a few friends and rarely when ppl say ok last game then leave ill go offline because i wasnt ready to go to bed and dont want them to know lol. Especially since i have 1 friend who does stay up after and would probably continue playing something with me but all i wanna do is play my 1 player game till i pass out.

  • I wasn't banned, but I rolled over after 3rd party apps were taken away on the day they stopped working. I only use the app for it so taking that away made it pretty easy to stop and no i wasnt going to use their own because they forced my hand. Apps were limited on lemmy at that time and had to wait like 4 months before the one i used to use was released, but it was worth it.

  • They do it all day everyday. That would be bad over the years. Plus any unnecessary exposure to any additional radiation should just be avoided. If the patient had any other way of getting the same results im sure that would be the preferred method but its all we got and 1 dose is really nothing in the scheme of things.

    I do remember a story long ago in the early days where someone got a faulty one and everytime they turned it on for xrays these people were hit with so much radiation they could taste it. Nobody believed them and it was so bad that side effects came quick enough to figure out this machine was faulty. If i find it ill link it here. Very interesting and awful situation.

    Edit: found it the Therac-25 system. It sometimes became faulty and dosed people with 250 times the amount it should have. They swore up and down there is no way the system was faulty until it was finally proven to be it.

  • Your lucky you can still find that. The ones i have been to in my region are just kiosks and if you need someone your basically waiting 5 minutes until someone in back realizes your waiting.

  • At my job about 15 years ago we had some sales rep who thought he was hot shit. He was old and i think he did bring in decent sales. He was also an olympic gold medalist from a soccer team like 50 years sgo. So whenever he called our help line for IT support he would blast that line off basically every single time. Everyone knew and it was basically a huge joke because you knew it was coming. Everyone hated that guy, thankfully he was old so he ended up retiring i think several years ago. As far as i know despite him threatening people with that line i dont think he actually got anyone in trouble, probably because its not like we didnt help him and was treated the same as everyone else.
