I'm a human being, god damn it. My life has value.

  • Something weak something hard times something something?

  • Obvious bait is obvious.

  • I'm glad you've got a few tricks and assets to stay on top of it, at least. A better social life is on everyone's list, these days it must be said.

I should look into those supplements you mentioned for my wife and kid, they sound promising at first glance.

  • If you're not struggling with it, there's no reason to treat it. Everyone's a little different, you can't pathologize individuality.

  • It might be auditory processing disorder. The second more than one person is talking (and books count) I begin to crave death.

  • "Efficiency"

  • That is literally the only reason to do what they did. We have an entire federal government of fifth columnists and their (perhaps too charitably) unwitting abettors.

  • Octopuses didn't get post nut clarity.

  • I wouldn't trust a self hosted AI that I trained myself.

  • Oh that's dark

  • I'm fine with that while it lasts. Having millions of active users would increase the feed, but it's not going to increase the likelihood of me talking to anyone smart

  • What are you, five? Are you this many? 🖐️

  • While I feel like major acts of vandalism are antisocial, minor ones are just humans being humans and the absolutism of your position here is making it hard to agree. If I see someone wearing one of Kanye West's swastika shirts and someone throws mud at them, I will clap. If there's a massive antiracist protest and someone lights an empty cop car on fire, I will cheer. Sometimes resisting evil means being pretty rude, and now that this CEO is the front man for an inside coup, anyone financially supporting him has been made complicit, against their will or no. There is room for nuance, there are justifications, and in protesting, it is better to allow for a diversity of tactics rather than try to police each other.

  • The way you know Democrats are scared of the fascists is that they refuse to look them in the eye.

  • Skill issue

  • Because I fucking hate the trend!

  • Sorry, I was being pulled in two directions when I wrote that. Meant to talk about how ePaper watches were basically deleted from the market by Fitbit. They owned the IP and didn't make any, as far as I know. Now smart watches are a multi billion dollar market that Pebble helped popularize (maybe even created), and Pebble was cast aside. The hardware was so simple, effective, cheap, reliable, and lacking bloat that you could buy one and have it work perfectly for ages. Totally against the trend with tech.

  • Fitbit bought them out after they mismanaged their expansion. My pebble kept working, but I lost the charging cable as I recall and couldn't get a replacement.
