Artist, musical performer, and former derby skater from the Midwest.

I'm single, childless, and married to freedom and adventure.

ACAB, Anti-War, and I hate Democrats, Republicans, and billionaires. (Yes, even your favorite billionaire: the pop star, the philanthropost, the legendary athlete, or the soft-spoken investment guru who cosplays as middle class.) With each passing day I get a little closer to hating everyone.

Also, I refuse to use Donald's last name out of hatred for the man and his brand, FYI.

  • It’s starting to reach the point where I don’t really find this funny anymore and I just find it sad. Kinda like when you see an older person get scammed out of thousands of dollars by one of those IRS or tech support scams.

    100%

These people were lied to on tariffs, the economy, and affordability. They were more willing to believe those lies because they've seen their cost of living skyrocket for the last four years under Biden's presidency.

It is sad. Also sad to watch people who consider themselves conscientious people cheerlead for fascism now that they think it's targeting the right people, and ignoring that they're getting targeted too.

The fact that we see so many people having regret is a good thing. I’d rather have people that realized they fucked up then people that are doubling down and defending everything Trump is doing.

Again, correct. We'll see if the candidates coming up for 2026 realize how badly they need these disaffected Republicans' votes.

  • Where’s the full video if he was recording?

I just figure that the video contradicts what the guy said, and therefore, he opted not to put it on the Internet.

  • Sadly, true.

I make it a point to go to matinees on a weekday because of it, though we're lucky here in Kansas City to have a local movie theatre chain that's really good. I just hope they last through the coming years.

  • There are older models you can get that work that way. They're just less convenient in that you have to clean them out yourself. I had one for a long time, but I wanted one that is self-emptying.

  • Kind of wild how one's social media algorithm can make them perceive a completely different reality.

That's the only way this makes sense to me. I don't consume algorithmically-boosted content myself because it skews perception so significantly.

  • Hello friend.

This seems like a good time to inform you that you have the option to communicate in such a way that you don't make yourself look like an asshole.

  • Yeah, mine has it. I have to go into the app once a week and manually delete it.

  • I am really, really glad I replaced my PC's a year ago.

This is insane. I'm kinda sorta rooting for the crash now. These unregulated billionaires are ruining all the things.

  • Exactly.

  • Yeah.

Normally this time of year my college team, pro team, or fantasy team are doing well so football is enjoyable.

But not this year, so I felt a bit listless.

  • Lame that people care so much what other people like.

  • Andor is a SW show for people who hate Star Wars, and it works. (Not unlike how the Nolanized Batman was a superhero movie for people who hate superheroes.)

It's not my thing, but no one's making me watch it, so no big deal.

  • This is the one issue where I have no sympathy.

Donald lied about everything else, but he was 100% honest about his intentions on immigration.

  • There was a good choice in the primaries: Marianne Williamson. You guys decided you wanted the brain dead old guy.

She was even opposed to starving Palestinian kids, but I guess that wasn't a big enough selling point.

  • but if that’s how you feel about the national level you may as well just not vote, since it’s inevitable anyway.

You're right, and that's becoming increasingly clear, which is why millions more skipped Election Day in 2024 rather than miss a badly-needed days pay. That's not their fault nor mine, but it is reality. There is no reason to vote when both parties do exactly the same shit.

It's going to become even more clear after the 2026 elections when the major provisions of the BBB kick in and the new international trade deals, rerouting supply chains around the US instead of through it, come into play.

Unless you're a billionaire, you have no power outside your zip code.

  • Guilty.

...of being the perfect little baby.

  • It really doesn't matter at the federal level how you vote. Both parties have a stranglehold on Washington and they will until there's a nationwide cataclysm of some sort.

The only power any of us has is local, and you can do a fuckton of good in your neighborhood if you're just willing to spend a few minutes doing so.

  • But I’m smart enough to realize that was the best option I had.

    No.

You, like them, are just a-okay with swallowing excuses. That or you're one of the folks fortunate enough that your only concern is making it to brunch. The rest of us pay for our groceries, medical bills, power bills, and rent and know full well just how evil the lesser evil was in this election.
