FF15 took a long time to come out. And then we find out that you are manually controlling the main character like a hack'n'slash. It just no longer sparked that joyous wonder.
I waited ages before I got a PS4 and then got the Royal Edition. Slowly as I played it a fell in love with the characters. They are flawed, thrust into a journey they didn't get to choose, and instead of a toxic male fantasy it was a story about brothers, fathers and sons, about love, loss, and sacrifice.
I bawled my eyes out at the ending. The game definitely suffers from feeling like it's not quite a finished product, but the characters are the star of the show.
Oh, I think we are talking about different things. I wouldn't call the matrix an origin film. I would call something an origin film if it takes a pre-established character and tells a story of how they became that character. Batman Begins and Solo would qualify for that, whereas The Matrix is just a original story. They tend to be lazy story writing and spend time ticking off the boxes of things the audience recognises. Then half of them include a clunky way to come up the the characters name or title drop.
There was a lot of dodgy stuff on Reddit. Whether or he personally knew about all of it is one thing, but Reddit as a company allowed it up until it became fiscally advantageous to remove it. It was never about censorship vs free speech like the end users always argue about.
I know that's a funny bit of trivia to bring up, but the actual reason that was the case is because once upon a time the mod of a Subreddit could add other users as mods without needing them to accept. Someone added his account as a mod and the dude likely didn't even notice. He probably has some assistant running his account.
Reddit has turned into a dumpster fire, and that dude is like all the other greedy billionaires, but I don't think it's necessary to perpetuate false facts.
The satellite Cassini passed through a less dense section of Saturns rings and was met only by dust particles, despite the rings being populated by objects between 10 meters and the size of mountains.
It shouldn't be too hard to engineer orbit decay as a feature to avoid space junk.
Consider that space junk is so sparce it's not really much if a consideration for launches. It's like the rings of Saturn: the likelihood of a collision is so remote that they didn't even consider it when we had a satellite move through it.
I think they are still around because the government told them they can't remove them. They are considered a public resource. Remember, Telstra used to be a government entity before it was privatised.
