  • Which do you want? A single physical disc that is a tangible product? Or access to a server that has data redundancy?

You seem to want the guarantee of high availability servers but expect to claim ownership of the data. You never owned the data, and you don't now.

  • I don't believe resale was ever part of the licensing.

  • If you buy a CD with software and it gets shipped to your house, you own the disc, not the software. It's always been this way, we are just now living in a world where the technology exists to take the software away from you after you paid.

  • I miss when KH was Disney × Final Fantasy.

  • I bought a Prusa and I like it.

I figured I was going to spend a bunch on this hobby anyway, I may as well lay out and cash to start.

If you buy one and it sucks, then have to buy a different one, you may as well just buy I higher entry level to begin with.

  • I have to disagree with you on the Cisco stuff. It absolutely teaches you foundation networking.

  • I think you should read your link again. It clearly says 720 is "HD".

"HD Ready" was a marketing term that was sometimes used for things that were both 720 and close to 720.

  • Honestly, I stopped trying to understand them after 1080.

I've worked on broadcast for over a decade and up until recently is been almost exclusively 1080i that I've dealt with.

  • Chef John is purely videos of recipes. He never did 40 minute episodes about which salt is the best.

  • It still is.

    720 = HD 1080 = Full HD

Then I think there's UHD, before they start labelling them as shortened numbers like 8k

  • I think the joke is that alchemists believe they could turn lead into gold and a primary ingredient was urine.

In fact, a lot of Alchemy involved using piss for things.

  • I'll be staying with win10 ltsc on VMs for as long as I can manage, but most are on a flavour of Linux

  • Anyone who yearns for their life as child has developmental issues. I'm not trying to say that as a sick burn, I think it's honestly sad and source of suffering for some people.
