  • I went to the urgent care (and was unfortunately referred to emergency care in the same building) for some chest pain a few weeks ago. Here's some of my bill (luckily most should be covered by insurance, we'll see if they give me trouble)

    • Blood draw/lab test: $446.63
    • Plasma test: $158.07
    • Chest x-ray: $664.66
    • "Emergency services" or in other words, the bill for getting transfered from urgent care to emergency: $3,987.00
    • ECG: $1,024.94

    All of that, just for them to tell me that I was fine and to just rest. $6,295.29 for an hour long visit. If I didn't have insurance, I wouldn't be able to afford that and would have just preferred whatever was going to happen to me.

    Meanwhile the fucking shitty human beings in Congress get free universal healthcare.

    Currently in ICE ERO position awaiting my background to clear , I haven’t spoke to an investigator anymore ever since my interview for the SF86 , came to find out my in-laws are illegal and they are awaiting work permits. This is a F up situation because i cannot control nor is my responsibility to look after other people life or decisions but yeah yeah i know it fucks me up in my career because yeah i married my wife which she is a US citizen and bond with the family. But back in 2017 when I met her you don‘t ask hey do you have papers ? are your parents here legally ? Some BS man …… now I have the job i always wanted , I do what i always dream about but theres always a BUT in this F life man which pisses me off. anybody had a situation like this ??

  • I fucking hate it when people don't return their carts, and yes I always slide them in and condence the stack as much as possible. I used to have to do carts while working retail, and I would have to pick up so many carts that people just left on the curb or even in parking stalls. Some of them wouldn't even return them when right next to the corral, and instead just block an entire parking stall.

    The worst was working carts in the 100°F+ heat. I had to take breaks every 15 minutes or so just to avoid heat stroke, and while resting I would see these people just leaving carts in the places I had just cleaned up. Infuriating.

  • I know, but it seemed like there was confusion about my intended point, which is that you should never expose it to the open internet. It wasn't a question I really intended to be answered since I know that was their intention. My confusion is why do that when there are secure alternatives, some of which are easier than opening a port.

  • There are far better, more secure ways to do this. You could use a reverse proxy. You could use tailscale. You could use wireguard.

    The last thing you should do is open Frigate's port to the net.
