  • They don't need to vote dem, they just need to lose motivation to vote (either not vote at all, or vote for anyone non-GOP). The GOP cannot afford to lose many votes, so long as the elections are fair, as you say. The elections will happen in some shape or form (remember, even Russia has """elections"""). The GOP has seats up for election and upcoming vacancies.

It's just a matter of how fair they'll be.

  • This is the tenth (no joke) cm0002 account that I'm blocking. This has been posted seven times to the threadiverse, and yet, cm0002 felt we needed to see it again, and that it should be posted by another account so that people cannot block them.

It would be one thing if these reposts were done with one account, because then people could actually remove their posts from their own feeds. But cm0002 does not care about giving you the ability to clean your feeds of their posts, so they rotate between dozens of these spammy accounts.

Oh, and they immediately downvote any comments complaining about their behavior, usually without comment or response. They are unable to see that they're doing anything that some people may not like.

  • It needs to crash. If it doesn't crash soon, things will only get worse and worse for consumers. We're already over the edge of the cliff (imo), it's just a matter of how far we have to fall now. If it crashes hard enough, we won't have to live with "asking AI for permission to use the computing platform". By the way, an LLM isn't really capable of that at the moment, and the sooner it crashes, the less likely anything like that will happen.

  • For me, while I find the duplicate posts annoying (since I tend to go to the "all" section), it's the fact that they have dozens of accounts that they do this on for no reason that really makes me dislike them. It makes it impossible to block them.

  • This is the ninth spammy cm0002 account that I've now had to block. cm0002 makes the threadiverse seem like it's got a spam issue (it does, it just happens to be this single user for the most part). I have never once seen a post from any cm0002 account where I thought "wow, I'm sure glad I saw this post again!"

You make it impossible to filter out your spam because you have dozens of accounts that you switch between. I hope that one day, admins of instances realize what you're doing and blanket ban your accounts for spam.

Note for other users, this was already posted twice to other communities with heavy cross over between the subscribers. It's cm0002's classic karma farming (even though that kind of thing shouldn't matter here).

  • The point isn't that it'd fix all of the US's problems. It would certainly fix one, though.

  • Duh? That's literally what a tariff is in this case?

  • Lund isn't exactly sane.

  • You can self host Teamspeak and the self hosted version at least has voice chat unlike Stoat.

  • This. I have a Garmin watch and it works perfectly with Gadgetbridge.

  • Bummer that it doesn't have voice chat yet in the self hosted version. Hopefully soon - I would probably switch if they had that.

  • Biomagnification is a real issue, yeah.

  • DeFlock is just a front end for OSM, does that make OSM a "terrorist organization" too?

  • This slop is why the curl maintainers had to turn off their bounty program.

  • I live in WA and just drop them off at the county provided ballot boxes, no post office required. There are more of the drop boxes than post offices too.

  • Yeah, that was kind of my point

  • AWS is the real money maker for Amazon, making up most of their revenue.

  • Neither are the layoffs apparently

  • You know that primaries haven't happened yet, and that this is reason to not vote for him in them? He's not the winning candidate everyone needs to get behind yet. There's no one to divide.
