    They need the elections as much as the Dems. It's a matter of how free the elections will be. They will happen, but will they be predetermined like in Russia, or will they be the US standard level of BS?

  • I'm real tired of hearing this line at this point. States run the elections, and even if he were able to get past that, republicans are on the same ballot and are also retiring in huge numbers. They need the elections to happen, they're going to happen.

    Now, you could argue that the elections won't be free elections, and that would make more sense. Even shitholes like Russia have ""elections"", but of course the result is predetermined. Nonetheless, Russia has ""elections"". That's not even getting into how the US has never cancelled an election, not even in the civil war.

    Saying he's trying to cancel the election just makes people who are considering to vote to change something for once less likely to do so, because why would they if they're going to be cancelled anyway. You shouldn't do the job of voter suppression for the GOP.

I said that people should be using the ballot boxes anyway, and you said "watch them seize those too" even though it's much easier for them to seize the mail since it goes through a federal agency, thus why I said they should bypass the federal order by using systematic and efficient placement of dropboxes. Because guess what, the order only applies to the mail. It doesn't apply to the ballot boxes. I'm not sure what your real argument is at this point.

  • These data centers are NOT being used for research. Universities and research companies generally have their own computer clusters for that.

    These are being designed and built for LLMs and LLMs only.

  • The USPS can be bypassed through strategic and frequent placement of ballot dropboxes. I already didn't use the postal service after the bullshit Trump tried to pull in 2020. It's better to use the dropboxes in every way except for one, and in my case it's only a block to get to the dropbox so it doesn't even apply.

  • That's not even counting states that have mail in voting with dropboxes. Yes, they're trying to restrict mail in voting but it all seems like it's around postmark dates which do not apply to drop boxes (the drop boxes have the same deadline as voting in person). Good luck putting an agent at every dropbox in the country, it's just not going to happen.
