  • You have a point, ethics yes, but not doing what needed to be done (notice how the DOJ is being told to go find crimes for 47s hit list). 45 spent his entire time fumbling for the levers of power and only managed to break them. Biden comes in and expects things to be right where Obama left them and runs a by the book administration from 40 years ago, like Carter, but he got to do a little nepotism on the way out. Now 47 is back and the shit he broke was not fixed, corrpution, nepotism and cronyism are sorta the defaults now and the were all suffering for it.

    Shit like this, in a better world is something a country has to deal with once or twice a century... Millenials alone are dealing with round 3...

  • People do not know the manufacturing cost of TVs because everything is a smart device that generates data for to be sold by the manufacturer. A dumb device cost a premium in [insert current year] because they have to account for that lack of that revenue stream to keep the lights on. Its why dumb "commercial displays" cost an arm and a leg (plus they are designed to be on 24/7, their actual specs are usually fairly mid).

  • Its funnier than that, jammers are not legal, but data poisioning is. Leave a device near by that just rotates through IDs of all the signal types you know its listening for and it protects everyone passing by because their UIDs get lost in the noise.

  • Amongst a small trusted group of friends, I find it better to exchange things relative to the cost of "IOU a sandwich". Its just easier to handle if everyone isnon the same money transfer app or carrying cash to just say "lunch is on me".

    Any more people than that and its difficult for people to be understanding or on the same page.

  • My "I was 18 and stupid" job was back of the house at a southern style fried chicken resturant in the heart of the american bible belt. While Hate Chicken will close on sundays and Colonel Fried does not give a shit, my franchise did the worst possible sale on sundays. If you came in with a local church bulletin postmarked for that day, we took 10% off your order. Now you would think this would be good for business and you are unfortunatly correct.

    The problem was that everyone else that worked there was attending said services except for ~4 of us. I worked back of the house behind hot friers and ovens most, if not all, sunday mornings. The amount dead foul that has passed my hands, its an actual work of god that im not a vegitarian.
