  • "Sweet Jesus!" is a good one. Has a nice zing to it.

  • Thanks for adding context.

You usually don't get holidays for the first year. After that you start with two weeks. It usually takes much longer to get another week and you might get 4 weeks after 10 years, 15 years in many cases.

Fortunately for me, my bosses respect me and when they couldn't get me the pay bump I wanted they gladly hooked me up with time off instead.

  • Canada - Four weeks vacation. Five and a half years with the company.

  • Huh... Turns out my understanding of the definition of the word fraught was wrong. Thanks for making me learn something today.

  • Dude, $11 CDN is $7.87 USD. If anything, the difference in currency amplifies my point.

  • $25 for fast food for a single person? Two McDoubles, a small fry and a small drink is $11.05 here in Canada. More than enough food for a quick meal.

  • I relate to this so hard.

  • For me its more of a lack of understanding of a specific word's definition. The word? "Systematically"

"There's a problem systematically, so IT is gonna have to look at that."

They literally mean there is a problem with a computer or software and not anything related to a systematic process.

This drives me right up the wall. Everyone in management says it like a buzzword.

  • You can click "Do not recommend channel" or "Not interested" on these recommendations to filter them out.

  • Are you sure you're not just thinking of the smell of carburetor engines? I think I know the smell you're thinking of and its the exhaust of a vintage carburetor engine.

Was there really a different smell for leaded gasoline?

  • Just put windows on a laptop from a few years ago and you can revisit that feeling. Haha

  • REAPER rules. I started on ProTools in 2010. Ditched it for Reaper in 2012 and never looked back. Best $60 I ever spent. I've gladly bought multiple licenses for my devices over the years.

  • AC/DC with an HM-2. Damn that's overkill haha.

  • Judas Priest's "Painkiller" covered by Death is incredible.

If anyone wants to take a chance on a cover I recorded (all instruments and vocals) of Enslaved's "Havenless", check it out at this link (https://youtu.be/b1ByxMMnSfw)

  • Nobara or Bazzite are your best Linux options for gaming. I've been on Nobara for over a year with nothing but good things to say about the distro and its community.

  • The metal subgenre?

  • Twin Peaks. Couldn't stand it.
