you may want that, but most consumers these days don't. they like open world games and adore remakes.
Not to mention most people playing these games haven't played them in the past. n64 only sold 33 million units, worldwide, over 6 years. switch 2 has sold 23 million units in a single year.
Stop being an extremist yourself. that's all you can do.
issue with extremists is they tend to go from one to the other, rather than moderate. and it's largely a function of their insecurity in their identity and place in the world. which they externalize by needing to turn themselves and everyone in the world around them into extremes.
basically, people need to take a chill pill and you need to be chill yourself. and when someone frames you an extremist, just laugh at them.
it should be 1 car length per 10mph of speed. 2 car lengths isn't enough at highway speeds, it should be several, because as speeds increase your reaction time shortens and so does the force of impact
Smile when you genuinely feel something. Don't be fake and try to manipulate people.
Also, you must be American? Only Americans have this weird obsession with smiling constantly and thinking that if you aren't smiling you're an asshole.
say thank you, please, and etc. basic manners and courtesy to others.
It blows my mind that almost nobody does this anymore. I go to like coffee shops and stores and etc every other day, and basically nobody says this to sales people anymore. It's insane to me how objectively rude so many people are to other people who are helping them.
it's so bad that it's gotten to the point i've had people tell me i'm wrong for saying these things to service people. becase 'it's their job you shouldn't have to thank them' etc.
I'm so far gone that I just totally don't understand how this is the major concern for most other people about everything they do. Often to the point of self-harm and self-misery.
But when I talk to people like this it just is a constant reminder how much happier I am than they are, especially when they try to paint me as being miserable for not caring about their opinion that my curtains don't have a high enough thread count or whatever weird thing they are agonizing about.
I think the 'lonliness epidemic' is really born of delusional expecations. Most of the sad lonely people expect things from others they'd never give of themselves...
my most socially unhappy time in my life was the one when I had the most friends.
childcare is about 3K a month max in a HCOL. even with 2 kids that's 6K a month.
if you both have degrees in tech in your 30s, you should both be making like way more than 6k a month. neither parent should stay home, unless it's a lifestyle choice. i have known a few people who did this. a dual income tech couple should be pulling in well over 200K/yr
and yeah if you are poor because of lifestyle choices... that's not struggling. that's you choosing to make less money than you could. or i suppose you could be 24 or something and both be making 60K, but why you had kids so early is against a lifestyle choice and your struggle would again be self-imposed.
and by the sounds of it you very much could afford a cheap least or car payment. a lease on basic hybrid civic is 250/mo or so. sounds you aren't open to leasing a car though and think you have to purchase it outright.
issue i see with people is they seem to want 50K cars. at least going by the average price of new car purchases, but most car buyers buy like 2x the car they actually need.
Everyone around me claims they are struggling, but they objectively are not.
FWIW, the income of people I'm talking about typically around 150-300K a year. They are simple angry their money doesn't go as far as it did and they can't take multiple vacations per year anymore. or they aren't getting the massive returns on their stock portfolios they were a few years ago.
I make the low end of that, but I live a low-cost lifestyle and I don't have expensive 'needs' like travel, luxury items, etc. what baffles me is I often meet people make less than I do... spending way more and basically loading up on debt and being angry about it.
more communities that were humorous and optimistic and absurd. the best community here is greentext, because that's the entire premise. the lack of humor and nuace on this site is wild, and often comes from the same people who claim they loathe reddit for that reason...
rather than perpetual doom and gloom and calls for violence. which is like every community on fedi. bunch of hugboxes about linux and other weird groups who feel perpetual oppressed and think anyone who isn't into their weird niche or fetish is stupid.
except you and your friends are wrong. the SH2 remake was fantastic and universally praised.
you are hating on it to hate on it, it seems.
