Idk I don't mind that the very poor that don't have phones still have an option to make phone calls. I know a lot of victims of abuse use them as a way to make phone calls that aren't monitored by their abusive partner. The homeless can use them, or maybe your phone died. I don't recall seeing ads on them but I'm not exactly looking out for payphones.
Plus I'd hardly can a phone call "ageing technology". I mean yes it's an old technology, but still very relevant especially for those that don't have other means of contact
There's still a lot of payphones in my country. They're free now and no longer accept money and they also provide free wifi. Recently I've been seeing signs on them that kids can call Santa
Take control of you life, be the person you want to be.
It's easier said than done, but if I can do it, anyone can.
I wanted a lot of things for myself when I was younger, and like you, it was purely aspirational, I wasn't actually doing anything about it and I was incredibly unhappy.
It took a long time, and a lot of introspection but I'm currently the person younger me could only dream of being.
I grew up homeless, but I've worked my ass off to buy a house. I grew up lonely thinking nobody would love me, and now I have an incredible wife. I grew up idolizing musicians and now I'm a bad drummer (but I enjoy it).
Make plans. Think about what you want your life to be and make reasonable plans on how you can make it happen.
Your list seems extremely doable, play games, watch movies. I can't imagine what's stopping you from that but plan it out of you need to. Maybe Sunday night can be a movie night? Idk whatever works for you.
Join a gym. Like actually pick a gym and sign up. Once you start paying for it, you'd be an idiot to not actually go, so you'll go.
A part of it is holding yourself accountable. Maybe you don't feel like going to the gym. Go anyway. Maybe you don't feel like watching a movie, sometimes you have to force it just so you can look back at yourself and be proud that you tried, that you put in the effort to be the person you want to be.
It's not easy to live up to your own expectations, but I promise the effort it takes is always worth it.
Of course I don't know your situation. But reading your post reminded me of a younger me and I just wanted you to know you can do it. You can live your best life and you deserve it
Inject your spores or liquid culture into bags of microwavable brown rice (maybe 1cc per bag), snip the corner off and seal with micropore tape.
It's already at an appropriate moisture content and is sterile.
Then spawn to bulk as normal.
Theoretically speaking, this is how I'd do it, and I'd have a lot of success with it. Although I don't use the uncle Ben's rice, i find it's a bit too wet. Use a cheaper store brand, they're a little drier and work perfectly.
If one group of people can be labelled fascists and are therefore no longer entitled to privacy (from your example), what is stopping someone from labelling you a fascist and ending your right to privacy?
I'll leave you with this poem, First They Came by Pastor Martin Niemöller:
First they came for the Communists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Communist
Then they came for the Socialists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Socialist
Then they came for the trade unionists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a trade unionist
Then they came for the Jews
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Jew
Then they came for me
And there was no one left
To speak out for me
Yes, cars obviously suck. But If you don't care about privacy for everyone, you don't care about privacy and are therefore compliant in a surveillance state
Australian here. Christmas decorations will go up shortly for a lot of people. They come down a day or two after Christmas.
Obviously the main difference is that it'll be the middle of summer so it'll be unpleasantly hot. A lot of people do BBQs for a shared meal, seafood is a very common thing here for Christmas, especially prawns. Oh and Cherries. Everyone loves cherries for Christmas for some reason. And Pavlova
Other than that, it's probably pretty similar to Christmas in the U.S.
I'll also add here, you can buy a second game, automation - the car company tycoon game.
This allows you to build your own cars and export them to play with in beamNg. I personally like building drag cars and seeing what times I can get in a quarter mile.
technically you will still be able to install apps from outside the play store, but the developer will need to verify their identity with google.
Of course, most developers will refuse to do so (myself included), and so most apps will not be able to be installed. From a technical perspective, installing apps from other sources will still be allowed. So i can see judges ruling that this is not a feature removal.
You and I both know this is google killing non play store apps, but I don't think the tech illiterate judges will see it that way.
If you're using your phone, definitely check out YouTube revanced. Or if on a tv check out Smart tube next. No ads, sponsor block baked in. It's all the perks of premium (plus more) without the cons of supporting an evil company
Primarily streaming, although I have a digital media player loaded with tons of FLACs that I use when I'm out and about or in the garden.
I also have a growing record collection of about 100 or so records so I do listen to a lot of records when I'm home.
I don't really have a favourite band, it changes depending on what I feel like but currently I've been listening to
