  • My trick is to do the chores first, then with any leftover time I can do whatever I want guilt free.

  • Totally agree. Perfect is the enemy of good. If people would just drop meta, and Microsoft. That would go a long way and would be pretty easily achievable for most people.

Alphabet would be huge but because most phones run android (including my own), that's a big ask, too big without a good viable alternative ATM

  • "XYZ company already has all my data so I don't care that they're spying on me and selling my data to advertisers"

Fucking makes my blood boil. These people have absolutely zero critical thinking skills, or self respect

  • Yes you're 100% right. Solid wood will warp and split, I did mean MDF and should have said as such

  • Speakers are made of wood, the good ones are at least.

Unless your referring to the actual drivers, then yeah wood wouldn't really work in that case.

  • Still absolutely blows my mind people willingly install these

  • DIY

  • So interesting. I'm a programmer, I know a lot of programmers, and I'd hate to think that any of them wouldn't immediately recognise the issue.

Not sure if you're the outlier or I am.

  • I came to the same conclusion., I need a "Spotify connect" type feature, and when I looked, tidal had just axed their equivalent.

Until a competitor allows me to play music on a headless Linux box and control it with my phone, I'm stuck with Spotify

  • I wanted to be a race car driver. Literally had no other ambitions, that's all I wanted, and I grew up being told I could be anything I wanted to be. Well we grew up homeless and I didn't realise it was something only wealthy families could afford to support.

Turns out I couldn't be anything I wanted to be.

I work in I.T. now. It's fine, pays the bils. I built myself a pretty decent sim racing rig so although it's not the same thing, it somewhat scratches the itch.

  • So glad the idiotic decisions Microsoft makes doesn't effect my computer. And I'm excited for the rest of the population to make the shift to Linux, at least on their personal computers.

It doesn't have to be like this, you too can be immune

  • Total hours played it's gotta be Assetto Corsa.

Game I've been playing off and on for the longest time is likely Minecraft

  • Or even better, just run Linux and avoid Microsoft entirely

  • Interesting. Thank you

  • Wait I assumed what Americans call jelly IS jam? Wtf is jelly if that's not the case?

  • We didn't do speeches at my wedding. It was awesome

  • What's the alternative? How do other people live?

  • Dinner at 22:00, bed at 23:00. Am I old?

  • I'm confused as to where you fit in the Millennial demographic for you to have not known this already

  • But it doesn't mean "whatever causes a good outcome must not be bad".

It means that sometimes for the greater good, you have to pay a price.

Think of the trolley problem, would you kill 1 person to save 5? Many people would say yes. They're not saying murder is good, but the ends justify the means
