As an Australian, I was trying to buy a record (only available from the US, from a small independent artist). The record was about $60AUD, very reasonable. The shipping was $70AUD. I didn't buy it.
Or another small artist manufactured a super cool colour splitting lamp. Lamp was about $140, quite reasonable. Shipping was about $110. I didn't buy it.
Supporting any small american artist is just not justifiable.
I buy on reverb quite a bit and with expensive music grear I'm suspicious of free shipping. I'd much rather pay for shipping to ensure they actually package and ship it with care.

Bluetooth alternatives aren't better, that's laughable.
You cant buy beyerdynamics DT-990s with Bluetooth, you cant get Sennheiser HD 490 Pros with Bluetooth, you cant buy Audeze LCD-5s with Bluetooth. I could go on and on but you get the point. Good headphones don't use Bluetooth.
The nice headphones a lot of us have had for years, well before the headphone jack was removed don't have Bluetooth.
So when you say they're better 1. You're wrong. And 2. You're missing the point.
If you prefer Bluetooth, fine, but phones with headphone jacks still have Bluetooth. You're only ok with it because it doesn't effect you and I think that's appalling.
Imagine phone manufacturers remove the ability to use Bluetooth headphones and I say "that's fine, wired headphones are better anyway". It's not about that, it's about removing your freedom to choose and it should NOT be tolerated

I've never owned an iPhone, but I 100% agree with you. The reason I choose android is because of the freedom to use my phone how i want (for the most part).
Apple is a walled garden, but their security is good, they're not an advertising company in the same way google is and don't have as much of an incentive to harvest and sell your data. If android is going to be a walled garden like iOS, I trust apple more than i do google and If in the future I can't find a phone that has all the features i want anyway, then i may as well just get an iPhone.

I've dealt with mental health issues my entire life. Crippling depression and anxiety means somedays I physically cannot even get out of bed, let alone leave the house and walk to the shops where there are a bunch of people.
I've used uber eats like this before. I wouldn't consider myself lazy, just somedays I'm not ok and physically cannot face the supermarket. It's not a good feeling to do this, it's not laziness, it's a last resort.
Be thankful you're not in a position like this, and maybe try to see it from another perspective
Using valves proton means most windows games will run flawlessly (usually better) on Linux, so it's really a non issue if the games you want to play are "windows only" (unless they use some kernel level anti-cheat).
Also worth mentioning that if you did want the latest and greatest, that would be more of an incentive to switch to Linux.
