  • Can’t think of anyone i dropped for a specific reason since Roosterteeth/Ryan Heywood.

    Honestly Roosterteeth was vile long before the Ryan incident. They had a serious, vile problem with racism behind the scenes (and if you listen to earlier content and hear about how they talk about gavin and how hes a different person on camera and how he was a piece of shit, and if he was like he was off camera they'd have to censor everything makes me seriously believe he was a big part of the racism), and I wager the racism problem never went away.. there was just effort put in to hiding it and not rubbing the black members faces in it, like they did with Mica and her just walking into the office one day to find the N word sprawled in massive letters across a whiteboard.

    Roosterteeth in general also had a major problem with exploiting fans for free labor. Which got even worse during their attempt to be an animation studio and basically expecting low/unpaid fans to sleep under their desks and work 18 hours a day in perpetual never ending crunch.

    Honestly I think they were all pieces of shit, some worse, some less, but all pieces of shit.. Except Ray. Ray seemed like the only actually decent person there.. Which is probably why he was the first one to GTFO

    and I believe, to this day, that all the Achievement Hunter crew knew what Ryan was doing, because they loooooved to make comments and jokes about what Ryan was doing staying behind a day or two after everyone headed home from a location shoot. . . jokes and comments that disappeared from videos suspiciously quickly when the shit with ryan came out.. as if they had time stamps for them and could quickly cut them when the time came.

  • Theres something about JerryRigEverything that just makes me think that, one day, there will be news that breaks about him that will make Josef Fritzl look like a saint in comparison.

    Totally irrational, but I just cant shake that gut feeling.

    I dont remember the title after like..what.. 6 years?, it was just one of his general videos.. I think he touched upon both his own personal conspiracy of people getting dangerous lung issues from vaping being a hoax for government to get rid of vaping and covid being silly and overblown in the same video.

    I stopped watching him cause he just came across as.. i dont know how to describe it, high on himself?

    Which sucks, cause there was a time him and bigclive were my core entertainment, and both of them ended up being covid denying twats.

  • Self-Sufficient Me fell into this category for me. Tons of very relaxing videos about growing fruit and vegetables at home… Then COVID hit and he started talking about “prepping” and “Doomsday” in every video. Didn’t work for me anymore after that.

    I must have moved on before the prepping and doomsday stuff, because I totally watched him to, for a long time. I checked out and moved on cause, I dont know, he started feeling preachy and sanctimonious? like, I cant put my finger on a specific example as to where, how or why, so it could have very well just been in my head, but it kinda pushed me away from watching his content after that.

    He has never fought to preserve a bridge with bigoted, hate spreading assholes. In fact, he burns them like Sherman, and makes sure the public sees it in all its ugliness and glory.

  • Rainman Ray’s Repairs; he went full MAGA and basically told his audience to fuck off if they didn’t like it, so I did.

    I also used to watch Rainman Ray. But some comments he made about covid started making me suspicious, and and I noped the fuck off fully when he pointed at his newly hired black office worker and said she was his slave, as a "joke". I had a feeling he was going that direction, and its nice to have my suspicion confirmed.

  • while there may be near infinite variety in the recipes themselves, theres only so many times you can sit down and watch someone make a soup, or a roast, or a casserole, or what have you, regardless if they have 30,000 different recipes for each.

  • its nvidia and AI creating a bubble on the belief they'll be able to get profit and get out before it pops.

    But all it is.. is imaginary money going around in circles. nvidia invests a trillion in AI, AI buys a trillion dollars of nvidia videocards from some nebulous point in the future where they arent made yet, nvidia invests that trillion back into AI, AI uses it to buy ridiculous amounts of ram that wont be made for years, RAM invests it back into AI, and on and on they go, generating imaginary money and value, by buying imaginary things.

    under a sane government this would be investigated as raw stock manipulation and fraud

    I really hope when this bubble pops nvidia is destroyed in the process along with the AI companies.

  • ultimately, I don't think we'll ever know the true depth of details until Karl or Ian come out and lay them out in a video. Which will probably never happen

  • I caught a few of his videos and was immediately put off. Felt like an irresponsible child who'd stolen his dads guns and tannerite.

  • A lot of the channels that copy his whole primitive living/creating technology from nothing shit have been caught using heavy machinery and other cheats to do a lot of the work off camera.

    But you have Primitive Technology, doing it all, slow and steady, by hand, legitimately, like a boss.

  • Oh I dont recall fully, so don't take what I'm about to say as facts..

    But I believe the "official" reason was that InRange was taking up time Ian needed to travel to do episodes for Forgotten Weapons.

    and I believe the unofficial reason was something to do with the company that originally made and sold the What Would Stoner Do AR for them, And how they ended up outing themselves as assholes for using like..right wing dog whistles and antiLGBT things for discount codes, Which Karl has zero issue calling out on, but Ian was more interested in avoiding making a public stance on any of it and risking being political, and causing any harm to his relationship with that company. So Ian parted ways and, if I recall, has had zero interaction with InRange since.

    Again, I reiterate, its been a while since i last brushed up on it, and I may have details wrong, so do not take this as hard and true fact.

  • I view an ebike as a vehicle. A means to an end.

    I want one, I'll never afford it, but I want one. Not because I want to ride around without pedaling, but because I want to get to someplace without having to work my ass off in the miserable heat, so I have the energy and stamina to do stuff at the destination without being soaked in sweat. Like go fishing, or have lunch, or go for a walk on a trail,or even go to the store for a few essentials, or any of a hundred different things that normal people'd use a car for.
