  • Neither are those mostly conservative white men running our respective governments, looking to leverage what you propose to their own benefit i.e. censoring their critics on the left, labeling them domestic terrorists, rather than the fascist groups we were discussing.

    Also you'll note I said public pressure - commercial brands can be a lot more responsive to bad press than political parties.

  • That's a good question to which no clear general answer can be given. What's considered male is a huge spectrum of things, both material and immaterial, varying across generations and cultures.

    But most importantly, what it means to be male is very different from what it means to be seen as male.

This is a fundamental misunderstanding of how society evolves. It's not an automatism, it is the direct result of people raising their voices and demanding rights. There is no progress without these efforts. So yes, their demands are currently unachievable - by definition. It's not a bug, it's not a mistake, it's a necessity.
