  • It's really difficult to recuperate waste heat spread across such a large space in a way that doesn't compromise on cooling effectiveness.

  • This was probably an artistic choice to make it look like gold rather than any molten metal to the average watcher.

  • Not to forget about the crypto scams, presidential merchandise, obvious corruption, polymarket bullshit... to name only a handful.

  • Awesome thanks. Also avoids the awful UI and forced login popup.

  • Fascism is pretty well-defined. People just don't like it because we like to pretend it's a specter of the past far removed from modern sensibilities, and the definition exposes how not at all far it is from mainstream conservatism.

I used qrencode to create a few hundred QR codes for tickets for a band event, and BinaryEye to scan them at the entrance. Worked like a charm.

  • They can't build them that cheaply. They don't have the same scaling effects as the big brands, and they make an effort for sustainability which is a huge problem with cheap-ass phones.

  • 93% after 1.5 years works just fine for most users who do not prioritize longevity or sustainability over convenience, unfortunately.

  • Yeah even a shred of morality would exclude you from this illustrious group.

  • Don't worry. They confirmed it's highly effective with a third LLM.

  • So we once again just need to overthrow capitalism, huh.

  • It's mostly to achieve higher IP ratings, and people with expensive phones also tend to pay for things like cloud storage upgrades and expensive bluetooth earbuds.
