    I don't think that it's just that. Librewolf probably makes many of the same changes, but from what I understand, it is a completely separate project, so not all of the arkenfox changes are included in Librewolf and vice versa.

    ...This comment is far too real. This should be some dystopian horror story, not what's actually happening all around me. I don't know if anyone reading this has ever been curled up in bed at night listening to the chainsaws destroying the forest on all sides, or awoken to the smell of smoke and wondered if today would be the end, or watched a faerie die and not been able to do anything, but it SUCKS. If people don't change their ways and put a stop to deforestation very soon, there may not be any enchanted forests left. And a world without faeries would not be a pleasant place.

  • You're welcome! To make a bootable USB drive with dd, the command would be sudo dd if=/path/to/installer.iso of=/dev/sdX bs=1M && sync where the sdX is your actual USB drive.

  • slrpnk.net already has its own XMPP chat option where one's Lemmy username (e.g. user@slrpnk.net) is one's XMPP address, and I imagine that other instances could do something similar if they wanted. XMPP is federated, so it doesn't require any Lemmy-side coding for the federation aspect. For instance-wide chat (visible to all users of the instance), an implementation in XMPP would probably be easier as well, perhaps using some form of the group chat functionality. What does your proposal offer that cannot be done using XMPP?

  • I don't grow blueberries, but I've seen videos of high-bush cultivars in the UK, and they certainly looked prolific and easy to manage. From what I've heard/read, I imagine that they would do well in poor, acidic, sandy soil like in pine forests. Is that the kind of soil that you have?

  • You are not the first to answer blackberries, and I just wonder, do blackberries not grow out of control in other places? Sure they're easy to keep alive once established, but to actually keep them manageable, is there not a lot of pruning required?

    (Asian pears are awesome, by the way. The fruit, anyway. Tried it once, and it puts the common pears to shame.)
