Hello. I've been silenced, removed and blocked enough on lemmy dot ml for being a filthy leftist but not a falling in line defending totalitarian states full blown authoritarian communist. Sooo I'm blocking everything from lemmy dot ml so I don't have to be bothered with any more of that nonsense. If you are on lemmy dot ml and commenting on me I will not see it. Ta ta.

  • I saw a little documentary recently about a study from a dream institute in Hungary (if I remember correctly) that REM sleep is absolutely vital for dogs brains to process the events of the day to learn from and to make lasting impressions. That's why dogs nap a lot and have these intense REM phases. For dogs sleep is much more than just rest. Probably for us as well.

    My point is that you are judging people by something as superficial and pointless as what finger they are using on their phones as if people do mundane things to get inside you head. How do you even notice a thing like that? How do you come to the conclusion that it is trashy?

    How do you tie your shoelaces? Which foot do you start walking with? Do you stir your coffee and in what direction? Are those trashy behaviours?

Your clothes could fit better, your couch could be comfier, your locks could be more secure, your coffee brewer could make better coffee. Most anything from could be improved by taking it apart and redoing it. Why are you not?

  • I rely on Letterboxd for a glance on rating curvature but that too has become untrustworthy for anything just released big and blockbustery that fortunately isn't really my thing anyway.

    When I see something I really like I go check out the other productions by the people involved. Director and writer mainly, also producers and sometimes actors if they seem to be character actors that pick what projects to be in.
