Hello. I've been silenced, removed and blocked enough on lemmy dot ml for being a filthy leftist but not a falling in line defending totalitarian states full blown authoritarian communist. Sooo I'm blocking everything from lemmy dot ml so I don't have to be bothered with any more of that nonsense. If you are on lemmy dot ml and commenting on me I will not see it. Ta ta.

  • I have a few Russian acquaintances here in Scandinavia. They are well accepted and appreciated.

But they also fly the Ukrainian flag and are politically very opposed to Putin, the Russian regime and their foreign policies.

It will not work coming to countries that are constantly being probed and provoked by the Russian military, intelligence and politics and claim you don't care so it's ok.

  • Lemon juice or vinegar. Works great with heavy or spicy dishes to make them just a little bit lighter.

  • I was surprised to read that there is a "lite" plan again after I was kicked off when it shut down like ten years ago.

Edit: Oh, it's not available in Sweden. Well I'll stick with my browser addons for an ad free experience then.

  • As opposed to the regular eel that runs on bunker oil.

  • Many people think that anything they do really matters.

Then again, other people think that nothing they do really matters.

  • Clearing cookies will reset it because there is no way of ddg to know.

  • I haven't used it but I was under the impression that it is part closer to AWS than GitHub, as in a locked in platform rather than agnostic versioning and deployment. But I haven't really used much or the business parts of GitHub either though.

  • Yeah, it's not like Microsoft has a different platform they want to push instead, unless you want code in Microsoft Word.

It's middle managers getting their cost cutting efficiency in the log before moving up to destroy something else on a bigger scale.

  • Watership Down. It's animated. It's a kid's movie.

    Also Plague Dogs.

  • There are other apps that are more oriented towards racing if that's your thing and you can get a BT connected trainer for your roadbike.

For me an upright exercise bike is great now and I enjoy doing little mini excursions around the world when I can not travel any more.

  • basically all cardio machines at the gym are going to be boring as all hell, going outside and doing activities is a lot more fun

I have health issues so I can no longer go biking outdoors, but I use the app KinoMap (like Peloton but without brand lock-in) to view POV video of bike trips and the app adjusts resistance over BT according to the road topology.

I pick out a map/video and internet radio or a playlist from the country it is recorded. It makes exercise much easier and more fun for me and is way more engaging than staring at numbers on a display.

They also have videos for running trails and rowing and additional social media stuff that I am not interested in.

  • Isn't archive.is blocked because they injected ddos scripts in their visitors browsers?

  • I'm going to start a new homebrew experiment making watermelon cucumber hard seltzer with lemon zest and a splash of apple juice. It probably needs sweetener after the sugars have become alcohol to bring back the watermelon flavour and maybe some mineral salt to give it seltzer character.

  • It's funny because I too have some vague idea in my head that Hungary prides themselves with being ahead in science

  • I saw a little documentary recently about a study from a dream institute in Hungary (if I remember correctly) that REM sleep is absolutely vital for dogs brains to process the events of the day to learn from and to make lasting impressions. That's why dogs nap a lot and have these intense REM phases. For dogs sleep is much more than just rest. Probably for us as well.
