  • "The negative things people are upset about already happen, so we should be fine with those things being made easier and happening more."

  • I heard some statements that the "AI" justification is just on paper. Maybe partly because it's an easy out, and/or to keep the stick bridge looking sustainable. But that it's in reality not directly tied to any specific takeover of these individuals' work being presently or immediately taken over, and likely not efficiently either, by software. I'm not too deep into the economy so please only regard this as speculation until you can verify.

  • Oh.. Uh, what's the wealth in those situations?

  • Trying to understand this type of concept, as economics is not a super strong topic of mine, and I hear or see this type of phrasing sometimes; "creating wealth" "wealth creation".

How do you define how someone creates wealth?

  • Wow, thank you very much!

  • Would these work outside of Europe, say in the U.S. or Canada?

  • Have you heard about Tuxedo computers?

European, iirc. Default Linux focus. Possibly repairability focused (an expectation, but I don't recall).

  • Some of the refugees taken to Texas have been released from custody. But instead of being flown back home, they were released in Texas “without money, identification, or phones,” CNN reported.

  • Hello. Sorry, I couldn't find an immediate source when I did a web search with the text you quoted. Do you have a source for it you could share, or recall when you saw it?

    Thanks!

  • Is ladybird even out? I saw something about it but I thought looking it up got me to something about it being set for some release this next year?

  • What's the 'applescript'?

  • Not to create an argument, which isn't my intent, as certainty there may be a thought such as, "scraping as it stands is good because of the simplification and 'benefit'". Which, sure, it's easiest to wide net and absorb, to simply the concept, at least as I'm also understanding it.

Yet, maybe it is the process of scraping, and also absorbing into databases including AI, which is a worthwhile point of conversation. Maybe how we've been doing something isn't the continued 'best course' for a situation.

Undeniably, more minutely monitoring what is scraped and stored creates large quantities, and large in scope, of questions and obstacles, but, maybe having that conversation is where things should go.

    Thoughts?

  • I've read that dual booting Windows and Linux can have temperamental quirks and I've had my share of them.

Now, if I'm doing that, Windows fs gets isolated and I refuse to even connect it to the internet. But, outside of a legacy automotive shop program meant for XP, I've not needed Windows for a couple years.

This is sort of where I keep going back to in my mind. Like, I've seen things about supposed redacting or whatnot. So, like, what is there to be released if supporters of the Current Admins had them for so long?

Some like original copy of something somewhere that somebody secreted away?

And, how does something like that get proven to be...legitimate? Especially to a point of actionable repercussions?

I honestly just don't understand how this all works. Hoping for the damn best though.
