  • Sure, but the peaks and lows are gonna be steeper. We have that in Finland because we built a lot of wind power in the last 20 years and barely with great expense completed only a single nuke station.

    Electricity costs are currently kinda ok https://eprice.info/ but they frequently go up to 20-30c/kWh when it gets colder and there's less wind.

    You'll also have to take into account that parents are waking up to the dangers of social media et al, so one possible future is that kids will be less poisoned by it. It's already happening in some places, children are being forbidden to use phones at school, some countries are outright banning social media from children, etc. etc.

  • If I have something serious, I will set up automatic upgrades. If short downtimes are ok, also with automatic reboots when the kernel updates, but if they are not, with notifications that I should go reboot them.

    If it's not anything serious, whenever I remember to.
