  • I do that a lot, but can't say I enjoy it

  • The amount of shit in the air you breathe is also not zero. And you still breathe it don't you

  • Me too!

  • Here's what I have:

    • toolbox with spanners and sockets
    • screwdrivers
    • side cutters
    • pliers
    • knife
    • fuses
    • pieces of wire
    • piece of vacuum line with a plug (I drive a carbureted shitbox)
    • lithium boost pack
    • oil
    • water, can be used as coolant or to put out a fire
    • tubeless repair kit
    • cigarette lighter powered compressor, these came with some cars and can be has cheap at scrapyards
    • wet wipes
    • a couple adjustable wrences
    • first aid kit
    • electrical tape

Might've forgotten some, most are hidden under the trunk floor

  • You can for a click, but no way for the long press, as that's handled on a lower level

  • Heh, my router is on one of those timer plug things. No matter how frozen, it will reboot.

  • That's also why hunting clothes are orange camo. Invisible to the prey, clearly visible to the fellow hunter.

  • I added a quite thin, 3mm I think sheet of insulation on the bottom of my bed, and there was a noticable difference in heating times, especially for PETG.

The sheet was meant for a 3D printer, though not mine, it was on clearance at a local store.

  • MobilePay used to work just fine for my, until a couple months back. My plan is to get some crappy used phone, install MobilePay on that and use RustDesk to gain access from my main LineageOS phone.

Thankfully over here we authenticate with banks, and the 2 banks I use work just fine with no play services.

  • What do you even do knowing where some rando lives? Like, you can go to any house, wait for someone to come out and know the same thing.

  • Also, expensice appliances still last. It's just that back in the day expensive was the only option.

  • I'm very glad of the system here. Education is free, I only have to pay the student union member fee and student healthcare fee. I get left with 66€ a month from the support money after rent, living 1.5km from school. Also a tram goes straight to the city center from in front of my building when I want to go there.

  • Front brake is definitely on the left on every bike I've ridden, in Finland.

  • Thankfully the university costs me a whopping ~150€ a year, and I get some money from the government while studying.

  • It'll be like a vacation, working takes far more of my time and energy than studying.

  • I switched to a 1989 VW Golf a couple weeks back. No regrets

  • No it doesn't. The only computer in there is the aftermarket head unit, and even that is over a decade old.

  • Where do you think Lemmy instances are hosted? I know for a fact mine is hosted in a Hetzner center. Not in the corner of someone's living room, on an old computer.

  • 3DPrinting @lemmy.world

The humble Anet A8 isn't actually that bad if you just take some insipiration from the Ship of Theseus
