Can we talk about how fucking nasty it is to store files in a bathroom? Would you want to touch those knowing Trump probably took a McDonald’s/KFC-style shit just feet away from the papers in your hands?
Personally I’d really like to see more servers physically located in privacy and free-speech friendly places like Switzerland and Iceland (for example). I’m not sure why you’d want to have your social media hosted anywhere else.
I’m a web developer and whenever I see my (awesome) mechanic I always wonder what it’s like on the “other side.”My dad was a mechanic when I was a child and I always regret never picking up those skills.
A lot of times when they run me through their problem-solving I’m like “damn, that’s just like reproducing a bug to find its root cause.”
I feel like here in California we should just act like the federal government doesn’t exist: they’re unreliable as fuck. It seems like a waste of time to pretend funds will be there.
I’m in the US and have only ever had Huel. It’s an amazing product so I’d recommend that if it’s available there (the company started in the UK so it’s not US-centric at least).
I’ll admit I’ve used Claude Code pretty heavily over the last few months to coordinate high-level reorganization of data between three projects (two being brand new).
It was great in the beginning but I can’t count the number of times where it “fixed” one issue only to create a dozen more. It gets to be extremely circular and I hate having to go back and clean up 80% of what it wrote because it was just such ugly and/or outdated syntax. It’s to the point where I feel guilty for (probably) trashing the environment and it almost physically pains me how much brainpower I feel I’ve lost in the process.
Luckily those new projects are deployed and I’ve stopped relying on LLMs almost completely.
I only ever had Facebook, Twitter and Reddit and just couldn’t get into Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok, etc. so this is really perplexing to me. It just can’t be true can it?
I also can’t stand using a phone while watching a TV show (paid streaming, no ads) or a movie. It’s sad to me that people are unwilling to immerse themselves in something for just a while.
Exactly my take. Just stop watching that trash.
