ihan normi koodi työ ukko

  • Shawshank Redemption is not a very good movie.

  • If you got the interview through a network, you're already way ahead all the other candidates. And if you're otherwise a competent candidate, they're probably mostly seeing if they like you as a person. Good luck!

  • After 2023 I stopped commenting or logging in to reddit, and after the recent forced log in change I stopped going altogether. I'd like to see more activity in the niche communities here, but after stopping reddit-lurking I've been much more active writing here. I hope in the long run we'll get there.

  • And same face for younger generation when they have difficulties meeting people and building relationships with colleagues etc.

  • No laptop there, phew!

  • Which can be a type of valuation.

  • Sorry to hear it happened to you. I hope things are better now. Some people are just toxic, I suppose.

  • Yes, of course. I was interpreting the question as more explicit valuation like social credit etc.

  • Care to elaborate on this ... experience?

  • You could definitely assign some measure of value to people, such as how much tax they pay or something like that.

However, you wouldn't want to live in a society that does so.

  • memes @lemmy.world

    It's a way of life

  • Yeah, you can't just do that if you expect to win in the sport they participate in!

  • Like.. what were they even thinking, am I right?

  • In the middle: "How about the local sports team, eh?" and let the experts take over from there.

  • As for 5., the only annoyance I have is that sometimes when you are browsing a thread and want to go back to the community front page, clicking the link takes you there but as a non-logged in user. Then you have to go back and find the correct link that still keeps you logged on.

I suppose it's something like you have to browse through your own instance where you're logged in, and just navigating to the other instance will show you as a non-logged in guest. But I'm not entirely sure how that works.

  • Good stuff, Dilberg is living the life.

  • I would like to point out that Seinfeld was also possibly the first major network show to take steps to normalizing being gay. They had a whole episode where someone was gay, and every time they mentioned it, they added "not that there's anything wrong with it!" It was kind of a punch line, but in a positive way never seen before.

  • Well if I was running against any of them, I'd just remind the public every time possible about the disastrous war they lost.

Then again, not all important positions are elected and some voters are really really fucking stupid, so it might be too much to hope for.

  • No one in this administration has any future in politics once Trump is gone.

  • If that was the end result of this war Israel more or less started, it would be just too good. I don't know if I could handle that after Ukraine starting to bomb Moscow and US losing to Iran.
