If you got the interview through a network, you're already way ahead all the other candidates. And if you're otherwise a competent candidate, they're probably mostly seeing if they like you as a person. Good luck!
After 2023 I stopped commenting or logging in to reddit, and after the recent forced log in change I stopped going altogether. I'd like to see more activity in the niche communities here, but after stopping reddit-lurking I've been much more active writing here. I hope in the long run we'll get there.
As for 5., the only annoyance I have is that sometimes when you are browsing a thread and want to go back to the community front page, clicking the link takes you there but as a non-logged in user. Then you have to go back and find the correct link that still keeps you logged on.
I suppose it's something like you have to browse through your own instance where you're logged in, and just navigating to the other instance will show you as a non-logged in guest. But I'm not entirely sure how that works.
I would like to point out that Seinfeld was also possibly the first major network show to take steps to normalizing being gay. They had a whole episode where someone was gay, and every time they mentioned it, they added "not that there's anything wrong with it!" It was kind of a punch line, but in a positive way never seen before.
If that was the end result of this war Israel more or less started, it would be just too good. I don't know if I could handle that after Ukraine starting to bomb Moscow and US losing to Iran.
