  • Depending on field, double-blind reviews are rare. In ecology I had maybe one or two reviews in 5 years that were double-blinded, normally you see the author list as a reviewer

  • Joke aside, there is a legitimate point to be made, because plant - herbivore interactions can be modeled similarly to predator - prey interactions. That also works to s certain degree for parasite - host interactions.
