Nah, yaml isn't great by virtue of itself but with what it competes with. I far, far prefer it to any other BS. Json is garbage for human creation and obviously toml due to above. XML... Obviously just for machines.

I hate to break the news to people but there was an article just the other day about "swing voters" in Arizona. It was a mix of Rs, Ds, and independents who voted Biden in 2020 and Trump in 2024. They asked their opinions on ICE, etc. etc. Pretty much all IIRC said that ICE is going too far, people are living in fear, etc.
The thing that stood out is the last sentence- NONE said ICE should be abolished/dismantled.
Reading in here you'd think the popular opinion is that it should be. I can tell you it's not true. Even some of my more liberal/left friends don't always think it should be abolished, not to mention anyone more center.
I personally think it should've been abolished yesterday and the entire DHS dismantled but I also realize that is not the popular opinion, or at least seen through polling etc. I hope all the people thinking it should are voting in primaries for candidates who argue it should. Or convincing their neighbors that it should and they also vote accordingly.
Youre right- the general logic was sp500 and if anything, a bit in international to diversify. With the way the us is being run it's way more savvy to hedge your bets with vtiawx/vxus, especially when you know the ai bubble is propping up the American side.
I mean, it certainly is an alternative to all three morons using discord as some sort of forum for an app or similar. The same way discord is the worst for easily searchable info like a forum is basically the converse for discourse. And exactly the opposite for real time chat obviously.
He at least mentions outright it's a forum tool. The real problem is having to include it because people misuse discord.

I mean, Im on board with the message overall but I very much think people not getting to the polls is an issue. 90 million chose to sit out last general election. That is a HUGE problem IMO.
The truth is there would be more incidents of people fighting back if all the people here actually stood by what they say.

The truth is- youre exactly right. People don't stupidly sacrifice themselves knowing there is no popular pushback. And at this moment there is not that popular notion that things need to be overturned.
