  • Agree with this.

More sunlight in the morning makes it better for kids walking to school and not being run over due to our shit infrastructure.

You could work around that but let's be honest- schools and workplaces aren't going to adjust times ever to actually accommodate anything.

  • Imagine categorically rejecting someone because of a job they had.

A lot of active political people here are hopeless. They don't know a thing about a person except one vague item and that's already disqualifying.

No wonder people here are always upset. No one will ever be good enough.

  • Why are people responding if they have no team or interest? Like wandering into a star trek community and going "no I don't like this show "

Great for you but completely unnecessary.

At this rate Im pulling for England for Kane or most definitely Norway. Love the underdogs.

Follow many, many teams across the world. Most underperform

  • Don't let facts get in the way of their narrative.

If things don't go precisely according to their wishes it must be the deep state sorry, DNC.

  • Maemo/meego was better than all those IMO. It still half lives on in sailfish but had Nokia not been burned it could've been a true Goliath that could compete.

  • Yamtrack at some point will improve that jellyfin integration. So far it's locked to the one user but they've been doing a ton of API work to get it to support multiple users iirc.

  • Because in their delusional minds these Democrats, whom they gave only minority power to, must somehow singlehandedly stop every single bad thing the Republicans do.

Their ire for Republicans is far outmatched by their ire for Democrats, somehow.

  • Hot take- people are stupid if theyre just waiting for someone to show up and represent them. No excuse for not doing your civic duty, let alone attempting to fix something that will make your life better.

Like a dog- you don't just expect it to do tricks. You have to teach it.

  • A lot of African countries- green red yellow and a star maybe? Just not a lot of variety and no real character.

Tricolors for others are fine but I wonder what else they could do, ie. Netherlands, etc etc.

    Somalia, easily.

Union Jack countries could differentiate more.

Lot of south American countries are similar too.. Maybe a bit more variety there as well.

  • The Fountainhead was actually an interesting enough story even if you don't agree with the message Rand conveyed.

Atlas shrugged is just... Verbose. Has a plot but my god, the pages upon pages of monologue was too much.

But in the end neither are required reading (and I know you weren't suggesting as such.)

  • I don't think that's apparent at all unless you dismiss everywhere centrists are still winning.

How about everyone just chill, vote in primaries, and support whomever wins? A centrist is unlikely to win in Queens but a full blooded progressive is unlikely to win in west Virginia either. Nbd- work together where you can and drive us forward.

  • "They" aren't saying anything.

I encourage everyone to read the actual article. Axios inserted all this "fear a big loss" and other BS. They simply asked other house Democrats and they in general said she might lose and if they were her they'd be worried.

They didn't dismiss the challenger. They didn't endorse anyone. They didn't circle the wagons.

Everyone would be better off to see the bias the "journalist" here is putting in of their own accord. Theyre the one pushing you to pick a side and introducing conflict where there seemingly isn't any.

  • Meh. It's still mainly backed by Google in the end. I'd rather coalesce around mobile Linux. It's not ready yet but that's far preferable.

  • Ted lasso was good but I will caveat it- as someone who likes football and that angle the series strayed very far from being about football and went heavy into emotions, etc. Notably season 2 and on.

Schitts is amazing though start to finish.

  • I mean, I feel nuts because I've complained about so many EVS that look terrible and not like a normal ice car.

  • GPS logger on fdroid.

  • Bingo. It's been very interesting watching family members retire. You can get very good at seeing which ones will thrive and which won't. Some don't even really retire- they keep getting part time jobs, etc. because they never developed the hobbies that they could now lean into.

  • Agree on this. Feel fdroid could attach a unique ID to each package version and then insert and update that text file holding it every time. Kind of like a package lock (Python, nvm, etc.)

Export the file, import on new and it just fetches the necessary versions of apps.
