Apparently Fox sent out a memo telling their staff not to.endorse Trump's election lies and she leaked it to his campaign. If true, rare example of fox news being the good guys.
"America does one thing right" != "America does everything right". The courts are the only thing holding Trump in check right now. Whats going to put a check on a European trump?
Yes. Yes they are. Anyone who wants more government control of the justice system, and less accountability to the people, is a bootlicker. People in those countries are expected to trust that the state did it's due diligence before putting someone on trial, and as the right sweeps these countries they're going to learn why that's a mistake.
Would you prefer the case go to trial before it's established if there's sufficient probable cause? Or if only the state gets to make that determination?
My take is I don't want to normalize it to the point that it gives people less ethical than my perception of myself to dehumanize people for the wrong reason, therefore it's never appropriate. It's not accurate either. These people are human. Calling them something else trivializes them. "A person, just like me, made this decision" is more powerful than handwaving them as subhuman.
I promise you it's not classified as an assault rifle. It's probably classified as an assault weapon. That's a made up term meant to cause this sort of confusion, usually defined by non functional aesthetic features like a foregrip or a heat shroud over the barrel. Its essentially a "scary looking gun" ban. The AR gets lumped in because it's one of the most common rifles in the country. It's like trying to end car crashes by banning the Honda Civic.
It qualifies as "every commercial for the last 2 months and half the shit in my mailbox"
