  • Well I checked, and it happened once, in 1875, and he died almost immediately after. So precedence is on my side.

  • Logistics probably. I know it's legal but it's never happened afaik.

  • In this case I don't think it's about "wait your turn". If AOC runs and wins she'll be done with politics in 8 years. She's young, she could spend a few more years in the legislature first and we get 12-16 years of service out of her instead.

  • Corporations are people like girl scouts or unions or counter strike clans are people. If we're going to restrict their speech we need a constitutional amendment clarifying which groups of people are excluded from 1A. Nobody has the stones to propose one.

  • I'm as surprised as you are, I was expecting to find an encyclopedia dramatica entry or something when I googled it. Maybe it was him.

  • Back in the early days of YouTube there was a dude called the yellow pee.pee monster and he would go in and just hose down an entire public bathroom in places like barnes and noble or taco bell. He had at least 7 or 8 videos like this. I wouldn't say it was entertaining per say but it was a fascinating character study.

    Edit: apparently someone archived them

  • He threw a water bottle at somebody, in the state capitol. Regardless of anything happening with the Republicans this guy is at best a child and more likely a nutcase. The crazy part is that he wasn't arrested.

  • Crazy that people are pushing for more federal control under an administration that exists to show us why federal control is a bad idea

  • Dems are really good at their job. They make a big show of opposing the Republicans when they ratchet policy to the right, then when they're in charge they embrace and normalize those same policies.

  • Feds aren't involved in highway signs afaik. As for why no states do that, I dont know.

  • I'm hoping the US is just skipping metric and waiting for a far superior dozenal system. If base 10 is so great why can't it be divided by 3?

  • The US has been officially on the metric system since the Carter administration

  • Judging by the sales emails I've gotten from them they're trying to break into business use and compete with slack/teams. And all I have to say to that is "lol".

  • Not sure I ever even considered slipping a plant in my ass to give it water, but you do you I suppose

Thankfully cacti don't need much water

  • Both numbers are unacceptable, Trump's is just a much higher level

  • Carriers can also require ID to activate a burner phone already, yet here the FCC is mandating it.

  • The US would be switching to an entirely different system, but wouldn't be able to "refine" it? What a bunch of unprovable bullshit.

Not 10 minutes after they implement it, no. Canada has a mature system that's been worked on for decades. Are you suggesting the US would be automatically better just because it's the US? What are you, a MAGA?

Also, if you think the US doesn't already have waiting lists for specialists

I've been to a variety of specialists, it's never taken anywhere near a month. My understanding is that in Canada a month is the norm, sometimes longer.
