(And since we’re here - it’s shocking how many gun owners immediately assume I’m far right leaning just because I’m next to them at the range with a firearm in my hands; no friend healthcare IS WAY more important than this tool.)
The author intends to work at their pace, on their time, with no interaction with the public projects.
Likely, and this is supposition, a small group of developers connected on the network itself will push the project forward where pushes are needed but they may not be.
But also, the very rare and important consideration that, in their words, “Everything you need is right here, and by any sensible measure, it's done. Anyone who wants to invest the time, skill and persistence can build on it, or completely re-imagine it with different priorities.”

I was a paying customer for over 10 years and it just got worse and worse. I quit several years ago and haven’t looked back.
As it turns out, I love and I have always loved cycling and don’t need anyone else to see that.
I’m not saying that anyone else should behave the same way, you do you, but it was so freeing to just ride for the love of riding. No more “600m of circles” to make it to 200k, no more kudos to every workday commute, just the open road (or trails) and the freedom it provides.
Yes, I no longer race, but I do privately keep a record of my efforts and rides, but they’re now a side effect of the thing I love - not part of the focus.

We’ve had our Niro EV for over 6 years now and it remains an excellent vehicle. The only failure so far was in the AC. Other than that, it had required almost no maintenance.

I’ve found the results more than good enough - excellent even with all the slop removed.
I use search so much, everyday, I feel like the clean results pay for themselves in time saved in just one day but I was frustrated and annoyed with both slop and the increasing insidious practices of the big search ad-engines.
