  • I only just found out that I have a severe gluten intolerance, but not coeliac.

    My wife and I used to make fun of all the random products that had GF labels, but now we understand the reason for them. There’s so many household items that just contain gluten as a thickening or binding agent and the labels are actually a huge help.

  • Just waiting for a Jewish legal group to sue for breaching freedom of religion protections. The life of the mother takes precedence.

    An unborn fetus in Jewish law is not considered a person until it has been born. The fetus is regarded as a part of the mother’s body and not a separate being until it begins to egress from the womb during parturition (childbirth). In fact, until 40 days after conception, the fertilized egg is considered as “mere fluid.” These facts form the basis for the Jewish legal view on abortion.

  • You could put it up on ResearchGate first to get eyes across it and potentially get an endorsement. Then reach out to the endorser to get sponsored for arXiv.

    The other option is to submit it for peer review. You’d need to to look up the best pathway based on your field.

  • Have you tried unscrewing the mobo from the case and reseating it? Doesn’t happen so often nowadays, but if it’s too tight (or you’ve forgotten to use standoffs) there can be short that stops it from booting.

    It was always worthless. Or, at least, it was always worthless thinking that LLMs were a substitute for reasoning AI, which is what it appears many people have been suckered into.
