  • no they are not. the article was clear. after the ai boom, the memory companies wont drop proces because you dont have a choice.

my new soap box - the government should regulate this industry because its very important to society and there should be prive caps.

  • i am sure this cannabis is safer than paracetamol or codeine. and there are people who want that

  • disclaimer: iam not endorsing anyone since i hate them both.

...but at leats good things have come out of musk's spending. tesla and spacex. mostly spacex.

  • the song is about an adg kid. kde might be too mainstream/professional

  • i dont understand that. i use ai for help reading through old stuff or to help me remember how tondo a thing i havent done in two years but blindly copy pasting blows my mind.

  • if tpu give rhat money to oracle you are finding an extreme facist who believes our entire life should be recorded by the government and stored on oracle servers. he honestly said it will get rid of crime since you will alwaus be watched.

  • I agree. i dont think there is a shortage. the ram companies are just using the buying spree to jack up prices and make investors happy. i didnt think about price caps till you mentioned it but ram really is essential to people's livelyhood. i am soap boxing this moving forward :)

  • ahh. i was looking at the major companies. Microsoft, google, ibm - all who majorly contribute to open source. It's funny that the foundation dedicated to linux is not.

  • who?

  • oh if i wasnt clear, its bad, its stupid, its a fucking mess but you cant unustall work apps from your work phone. congressneeds to step in

  • i hate this admonistration, hate the app but these are wprk phones. what are people expecting here?

  • even if cloudfare was 100% secure and orivate they are trying to be the trunk of the web. its a single point of failure

  • i like to point out that companies are using ai to be a boogeyman to distract you. take every article tou read and remove ai from the text or replace it with automation/algorithm.

even the jobs. 5 years ago it was "company lays off 10000 employees" response was "fuck management" -- today they are doing the same thing but add "because ai" and everyone now says "fuck ai".

  • most large game studios use perforce.

  • no they arent. all you had to do was read the article. hotela arent using the ai

  • this is completely void of any intelligence. lets put aside any activity for a sec. we shouldnt do this with any country. this isnsone weird shit.

  • sorry for the delayed response. my main point is most people dont care about water usage. if someone all their life was xoncerned about it. fought against golf courses, almond farming, lawn watering and then when data caenters came along and got angry there too, i would never respond.

in all honesty, i think data centers are a waste. i always thought the futire was local models because 90% of the uses are chat bots and dont need all that power. the science fields and health can rent data center time. i thought it would take over 5 years to get there but with nvidia's new rtx spark, i think we may gwt there sooner.

data centers are the real bubble, but people who use water as their main reason is full of shit. the new data centers are closed loop. microsoft's new one wont need new water forntheee years.

  • i downvoted before i read the article. might want to lead with "Scott Charon" original co-founder of github.

EDIT: I just saw that the circumvented the license. i missed that, and that's not cool.
