It defeats the purpose because a label is cheaper than a lawsuit and there's no minimum level. They will literally put it on things that have zero chance to cause cancer, because why not?
I made this car with a random number generator that occasionally blows it up. Its cheap so lots of people buy it. Totally not my fault that it blows up though. I mean yes, I designed it, and I know it occasionally explodes. But I can't be sure when it will blow up so it's not my fault.
I'm going to get on my grumpy old man soapbox. I understand making things idiot proof for end users. End users are idiots. But do we have to make things super safe for developers now too? Do we want to add a warning to rm so we don't accidentally remove the wrong directory?
Any developer who doesn't know to check permissions and accessibility on their database deserves to have their AI vibe coding bot taken away.
