Line 2397 of the tesseract block list.

  • Economics 101. It works great because you get to ignore greed, collusion, external forces, and human behavior.

There's a reason they also teach economics 201.

  • Fair point. But even in the city, cops are just there to document your losses after the fact. Unless you end up in a hostage situation, they're not doing anything during the crime.

  • No they won't.

If you're a good gun owner, your guns are locked away in such a way that you can't do proper home defense. Unless you're walking around your house in underwear and a holster.

  • I leave it to the leopards :-)

I don't join in snacking on the corpse.

  • So she shouldn't worry because... she deserves it for choosing a lifestyle?

Oh right, I forgot the rule. People who make choices we don't agree with should have their children suffer. That keeps slipping my mind.

I don't agree with the idea that a couple should strictly split responsibilities and not be able to survive without each other, especially along antiquated gender lines. But I'm still going to have empathy for a broken home with children.

  • If you think that's not a reason to worry, you haven't tried to live on a fraction of a salary. You think costs are linear?

Cohabitation saves a lot of money. Divorce breaks that.

  • Gotta draw the line somewhere

  • The ADHD type. People stop existing when they're out of render distance.

  • Only when it's clean

  • No. Listen. I know a lot of US politicians who can be signed up.

  • Only because her husband told her to

  • The best part about stupid people is, if you live long enough you get to join them.

  • Source: a doctor with a flashlight and a rubber glove.

I think you're underestimating the amount of real pain that is caused by the current iteration of society. People aren't supposed to function in a world like this. It's broken and they're suffering. It's great if some small fraction of people can tough it out. Good for them. They're the aberration.

  • I love how Q is his own thing. Clearly not cishet, but refusing to be in any category with mortals.

  • Eggs and spinach and hot sauce is fantastic. No prep, just toss them on top of each other.

  • If the person in the US is only willing to pay 70, then the artist will get less than 70.

Sure, the American pays the tariff. That's not the point. The point is that this person wants to spend X total and wants most of that X to end up with the artist. And that doesn't happen if they have to spend half of X to pay for the tariff.

The point of saying "the American pays the tariff" isn't to say that the seller makes the same amount. It's to emphasize that the seller won't absorb that cost, which is the lie Trump is selling.

  • Gender fluid was just mimosa. Going to brunch is how you get more.

  • This is a definition problem I think. I don't use the word "responsible" to mean sole ownership. For example. We are all responsible for the cleanliness of our roads. It is a shared responsibility that we all participate in.

And, I think, we are all responsible for modeling good behaviors for people to emulate.

  • Of course it does. You're only ever responsible for yourself.

And that mentality does not lead to good things.
