We really need to improve Thanksgiving, for this exact reason. More songs. Better story. Free stuff for kids. Just something to keep Christmas in check.
You don't "learn empathy". Almost everyone (except some seriously broken minds) has empathy, even if only for their immediate family. Even Republicans. You can see this in the way they care about family and realize things are bad when it affects them.
What you CAN learn is that empathy shouldn't apply just to your family. Or just to your race. Or just to your species. It's a skill you can grow and refine. You weren't born caring about people you've never met. Your mind couldn't conceive of it. Now it can. You learned.
Plus, doing all the things you mentioned would lower those people's chance of mating. Eugenics. Or "eugenics light" if you're feeling particularly offended.
Oh, this is no joke. It lets them use any laws relevant to WMD on citizens suspected of having fentanyl.
Laws are based on words and definitions. If you change the words and definitions, you change the laws. It's also why we've been in a "state of emergency" for the entire year.
I dated for 18 years before I found the right person. I met her at a friend's party. We were all just standing around chatting, and at the end of the night I asked for her number because she was fun to talk to.
I met 18 years of wrong people using dating apps, at activities in school and after, and at various parties. All those methods are fine.
I have never once communicated with a complete stranger in person. It was always a friend of a friend, or we know each other from something, or talk first on apps.
There's no trick to it. Just talk to people. If you struggle to talk to girls, talk to guys. If you struggled to talk to guys, work on that by talking to more guys.
That's a lot of words to say "I agree"
