  • Almost as if you deliberately ignored the operative word "could" in my original reply so that you could pretend I thought everyone should be forced to see a personal trainer and get mad about that

When people have the choice to receive benefits, they typically only do so when they would actually benefit. People without a problem they believe therapy can address typically won't choose to see a therapist, for the same reason you would not choose to see a personal trainer.

  • That's not anywhere close to what I said or even could have been reasonably implying. It was already pretty obvious that you were trolling, but this is just ridiculous.

Congratulations though, with that level of jumping to conclusions you definitely do not need a personal trainer.

  • No, money grows in the pocketbooks of the rich because we let them avoid paying their fair share.

  • it's a luxury good, like travel.

    It shouldn't be.

A lot of major health insurance providers have free "self-help" style mental healthcare options, which are better than nothing even if they're kind of lame, but even one of the worst insurers I've been on (Kaiser Permanente) had decent mental health benefits. They like money and they know that subsidizing therapy is way cheaper than paying claims for a lot of the issues poor mental health can lead to

  • Actually yeah, if everyone could check in with a personal trainer every month or two for free, that would probably return many times the value of its cost through how much healthier it would make the population in the long term

  • Couldn't you achieve something similar with a hydraulic system that'd be a lot quieter?

I can't figure what that obvious device would be if it's not a battery pack or something though. It's still really conspicuous.

  • This is like 80% accurate yeah

  • well, that article disagrees with you though. That "feature" is only going to do anything to Windows installations.

Also, OS doesn't matter if it's a bios update.

The ASUS UEFI firmware exposes an ACPI table to Windows 10, called "WPBT" or "Windows Platform Binary Table". WPBT is used in the pre-built OEM industry, and is referred to as "the Vendor's Rootkit." Put simply, it is a script that makes Windows copy data from the BIOS to the System32 folder on the machine and execute it during Windows startup - every single time the system is booted.

  • The rules don't say the headline needs to be funny, just that it needs to be plausibly mistaken for The Onion.

There is quite a spectrum of "This is just depressing enough that I'm not sure it's real" these days

  • Let's hope your username doesn't become relevant.

  • Make Democrats Actually Left Again

  • Damn, clickbait headline wins [the attention] yet again...

  • I mean, there's a lot of ways bodies are dirty, but that just means you have to recognize the reasonable limits to cleanliness and learn to deal with what remains. ("shit happens", after all)

As someone who struggled a lot with black-and-white thinking when I was younger, I can definitely see how someone could develop some warped views in the absence of decent education / role models.

  • That was a wild read, I'm sorry you're dealing with that

  • I use it as a step counter and a sleep tracker every night (with plugin), don't use any of the built-in activities though

  • "sir, a second poll has hit the orange"

  • Are we gonna gloss over the fact that the EEOC was storing plaintext passwords? Fucking incompetent

  • If it was a hole and looked like that when viewed from below in the first panels, the tail on the speech balloon would be on the top side of it when viewed from above, not the bottom

Are there sites like iBuyPower but less focused on RGB? Looking to start planning a build/purchase
