I got fired for filing a discrimination lawsuit against my employer for barring me from wearing the kilt I'd worn at least 2-3 times per week for two years. The banning was because they decided it was not "professional attire", but all the yoga pants, miniskirts, and sleeveless dresses are just fine.
There's a lot more to the story including a trip to mental health urgent care and the actual firing call happening while I was on FMLA.

Incidentally, I think 9/11 is when the switch flipped.

Also X-Millenial cusper. 9/11 probably eould not have happened if the Brook Brothers' riot had not been allowed to stop ballot counting and the subsequent SCOTUS ruling handed the presidency to Bush.

We never got Gore as a president but we've had gore to spare since George HW Bush took office.

I'm even more inclined to say this goes back to the Business Plot and Prescott Bush. Prescott's son, George Bush, would become head of the CIA before he was Ronald Reagan's vice president.

Not regularly, but I posted a link in another comment: it helps fish health and with parasites.

My comment was related surface area and bio-filtration in aquarium keeping because surface area is important there.

Aquariums use mechanical, chrmical, and biological filtration in a cycle to keep the water clean. Surface area matters, especially the biological part, because it provides more space for beneficial bacteria to colonize so they can break down waste.

Because they're not paying you enough to care; if you're not worth a living wage to them, then there is no reason for you to do more than the bare minimum.
