  • I really can't imagine CO2 concentrations in the air is "suffocating" us. Air is mostly nitrogen, then oxygen, CO2 is a tiny sliver (which yes traps heat, different problem.)

  • You don't say which level of elite, so I'm going with a millionaire+ level.

    They live better in Democracies. Better everything: services, amenities, restaurants, bars, lower crime, etc.

    But they think they live better with more money, which means they think they'll live better in dictatorships.

  • I saw something that yes the lead levels were high. Ventilation only does so much. It's that old math problem: you replace half, you replace half, etc, it never gets to zero. And in this case you're adding more.

  • Leaded gas wasn't fully stopped until 1996. Still in some aviation used (piston plane engines).

    But yes I wonder about shooting ranges too. I think a couple times a year at an indoor range isn't insignificant.

  • This is decided by the House of Representatives, which is currently controlled by the GOP. They can't get their act together to decide to do either what they were working on for months, or do what Trump says (he wants to add a debt level increase), or do what musk says (refuse to pass it).
