Proud owner of Miez (born 2013)

and previous owner of Koda and Lilly (2013&2021)

M&K ended up fighting all the time. I then took in L as a new playmate for Koda. Luckily K&L found a new home with friends

  • It's only my small guest room, mostly only used for the cat toilets, so I don't really mind. I'll probably cut off some of the upper part though.

  • GEMA is so bizarre. If you're a musician and composer and want to do a live concert that consists only of songs written by you and there is an entrence fee, you'll basically have to give them all of said fee or even more. They are destroying any culture really, only to give the money to some of the most successful musicians. And that even if you yourself are not part of GEMA, so don't get ANYTHING in return.

  • I have a little round scar on my left leg. I got it during a bike ride. I had paused right before a steep hill and found myself surrounded by horseflies, one of which bit me. I tell you, I have never in my life before or after taken that hill so quickly.

    A few years after that I climbed into our brewery's abandoned beer cellar. I climbed a gate to get in and as I squeezed in I accidentally ripped off the thick scar tissue. It bled a little but when the scsr tissue closed again it wasn't as thick as before.

    Fast forward a few months, as I turned 35 I had my first routine checkup at the dermatologist. I told him about ripping the scar tissue off and he told me I had accidentely done the exact right thing he would have done.

  • As a senior dev I have found AI useful for auto completion (where you see beforehand what it wants to write directly in Visual Studio) and code analysis (as it does find some bugs and can give good hints for code structure). I would never trust it with anything even remotely complex though.

    It kinda scares me that people trust it enough for "agent mode", as giving it direct access to change stuff directly has simply put never worked.

  • Nah it's the other way around. Tge Ai powered enshittification of the site lead me to nuke all my posts. Don't want to give them any traffic anymore.

    I don't want to upload pics to a site where I have zero control though. I noticed that when I upload a pic here and delete it, it is just "hidden" but still fully accessible via the direct url.

    I honestly don't know if I'll continue posting at all anywhere, as it is quite the effort doing dual language posts, and all sites are sold off or go to shit otherwise.

    Fully agree to the rest. The cats don't wonder off to hunt, they stay with her at all times and get fed by her.
