Besides what the other user said about the owner, all new cars produced have a kill switch in them. Laws mandate certain features in cars so if someone like you makes a new company you'd have to comply with these features.

That goes into the topic if how credible any given study is and would need to be looked into first hand regardless of finding it on Wikipedia or through AI. Pretty much everything and everyone's opinion has a bias, more so now a days with politics putting a spin into everything and LLMs are also created with biases. I don't trust AI to give a credible answer, it consistently gives incorrect answers, I don't have much reason to give people credibly if they constantly spout what an AI told them
The thing is the people I thought about when writing this aren't slow or dumb. However, for some reason they decided to jump on the bandwagon of new technology and let the convenience win
That's something I'm in the process of figuring out. My Spidey senses are on high alert for if what these people say sound like it could be from AI or their own brain functioning. It's sad that I have to put effort into discerning a difference. Some of these people use AI more than the others. I know one really does seem to rely on Perplexity quite a bit
I did lots of lead climbing (rock climbing up big walls with a rope). I never thought bouldering (rock climbing super short routes with pads under you and no rope) to be worth trying. I supplemented my lead climbing with bouldering just for the heck of it. I stuck with it for a few months which is what it took me to adapt my skills and learn new techniques required for bouldering. I messed around and had fun while bouldering until I started to feel what the new techniques were, then started watching videos on how to boulder and pieced it together now that it made sense. Bouldering has made me much more proficient at lead climbing and I'm glad I stuck with it. Now I find it enjoyable as something fun and challenging but ultimately still like lead climbing more.
The only real option is to get older cars without this tech in it. 2011ish is the cutoff
