  • I mean, it's not all a con. A good amount is simply bribery for direct access.

  • Wut

  • Then invade it for oil.

  • While I agree with the blurb, the headline typically suggests the opposite direction

  • ...don't they eat more ice cream when folks die so they have more room to store bodies?

  • I'm buying one next paycheck. Looking forward to doing this myself.

  • ... That sounds interesting. Especially if it can go and fetch all of the installers for me to have a local repo of my own.

  • The deduping is a little difficult. Obv matching files are caught with regular dedupe tools, but I've been meaning to make a script to use fingerprinting (dejavu is the library I think?) to find matches. Problem is the fingerprints are about as big as the music files themselves.

  • "unsorted" folder contains input. "Music" folder has full library; any imports must go through beets. rsync to remote backups; one scripted/automatic, one manual & password-protected. Restores (needed once or twice) are done with beets import, but whatever flag that does "just import, don't tag"

  • I started off with programming languages that compiled into binaries. I knew dos and bash well enough but wanted the convenience of scripting, just type in run, no compiling needed. I also wanted it to be cross-platform.

I chose Perl. TBH I loved it, but I kept hearing about all the cool things that would come as soon as Perl 6 was released, so I started waiting, and waiting, and waiting...

The XKCD comic, import antigravity, is literally what convinced me to try python finally. Haven't really looked back, even 13 years later when Perl 6 was finally released

  • Jesus fucking Christ. The article is worse than I thought. "Our guys are scared for their lives! Even though we are the ones doing all the murdering, we will have to murder even more of you if you don't start obeying us, though our instructions are clear as mud and we aren't even following our own laws!"

  • Forcing Heavily recommending gender affirming care.

  • Israel's chilling warning to Trump was why this started to bring with.

  • I look forward to some renegade renaming efforts changing it to the Socialist Fuel Network.

  • ... I have no idea but I would imagine there's a large overlap with the vacuums

  • I've seen some with 24, more commonly 12 or 16 though. Plus I've been several versions of Android running on PC

  • Bootstrapping.

Similarly, you should be able to build the OS on the OS, which is why Android is still not a viable operating system compute-wise.
