  • That's real good value for a piano.

  • People should be more appreciative of all the things I've almost done for them and totally would've done if they hadn't been so unappreciative.

  • Some companies have mechanical watches in the 400-500€ range that can go for 200€ used. I have a Junkers that I bought used for 200€ some years ago, and it's got a glass bottom (other models do, too). But honestly, I wouldn't make this a criterion, because you rarely see the back, and skeleton watches can sometimes look tacky.

  • That's great, but I'm talking about broad coverage of health care needs and a general habit of seeing a doctor when you're sick, injured etc.

  • IMO, this is one of the consequences of not having universal health insurance that isn't talked about enough. If the bar for going to the doctor is "about to lose a limb from infection", then people become vulnerable to pseudo-scientific garbage, simply because they hardly ever receive advice from actual medical professionals.

  • Curses! Thou hath foiled my plans once more, o window thingy, and I shan't forget thy treachery!

  • The mesh material seems to be similar to the Super Kitty Boinks we buy for our cat (but the SKBs are tube shaped). They're quite flexible and useful as a basis for making other toys, so if your supply runs dry again, maybe that could be an option.

  • "I didn't read the terms of service, but I'm still gonna talk like I did."

  • AI companies: Our AI is so powerful, it could take over the world if we don't regulate it

Also AI companies: Bike lanes scary

  • What happens if one samurai (A) defeats another samurai (B) who carries the head of a recently-defeated third samurai (C). Does B relay C's story to A? What if A also gets killed? Do they write this down?

  • Trap pockets.

  • New lows/highs in polling are definitely worth reporting, but we also shouldn't overinterpret individual polls. Nate Silver's approval tracker still has Trump at 39.3% approval, just below the 40% line.

So what I'm trying to say is: It's still much much worse than y'all think. High costs of living, cruelty towards immigrants and non-white citizens, blatant corruption, wars, and all that together doesn't even move the needle that much.

  • Can cook anything with those two ingredients

  • Ah, come on. Does the Uncle Roger seal of approval mean nothing to you?

  • ... Or grilled cheese.

Edit: Come to think of it, I think the guy who messed up the fried rice was Jamie Oliver. Gordon Ramsay's fried rice was actually okay.
