    fun-fact: Butter is a protected name in the Netherlands and as a result of that, they can not have peanut-butter. Just pindakaas (peanut-cheese and no, i'm not making this up)

    Yeah, though many like Calve, I prefer the home-brands. But in Sweden it's less common and not nearly as good. So this could be perfect for making peanut sauce as well.

  • My kobo (10+ years old) has an browse option. Tried it, it kinda works but it's kinda slow. An e reader isn't built for browsing, e-ink is perfect for reading but slow for everything else. So I use my phone for browsing and my e-reader for reading. Since wifi is practically always off and it has e-ink display, the battery lifetime is staggering. That's how I want my e-reader to be.

  • Then I also missed the memo that said we have to be available 24/7

    (24/7 availability only happens when I'm on stand-by for work. That is less than 6x a year, for one week, on a separate phone and they pay dearly for me carrying it around )

  • I usually leave my phone at home when I go out. If I have it with me, everything but the phone ringtone is in silent mode. So unless I get a call I'm not notified on anything. I'll look for message etc whenever I feel like it.

    Nothing sucks. Sure, modern life seems to be build around them, but there often is another way. We managed many many decades without them.

    It's great living your day just here and now with whatever surrounds you at the moment.

    A nice thought, but how to enforce this law? How to prove they gave or sold data? It's easy for them to hide/delete records of data transferred.
