  • Oh it absolutely affects my ability to socialize; I know exactly what you mean. Lowering the dosage helped with that, but there are still scenarios where a break is advisable - I just make sure I'm not driving or cooking that day lol.

  • It varies highly person to person. I've been able to reduce my dosage considerably over time, but I still require it.

    I occasionally take a weekend break from my medication, so I know how I function without it. When unmedicated, there are certain tasks that I can't do because they are more difficult, and there are certain tasks that I don't do because I become more of a risk - for example, driving and cooking.

    Driving because I am prone to space out behind the wheel. Cooking because I'm liable to leave the stove or oven on and forget about it until I smell fire.

    So, if I someday have enough money to hire a private driver and personal chef, I could ditch the meds.

  • I'd rather not share my age, but I can attest to having used medication therapy successfully for about 15 years.

  • The highest dosage of adderal that I can find is 60mg, and that's typically only for narcolepsy patients.

    To be taking "a gram every 8 hours", you'd need to be taking ~16 pills every 8 hours, or close to 50 pills a day. You're approaching OD risk at that point.

  • Depends how old you mean. I've heard of many older (50+) adults getting diagnosed and medicated (usually lower dosages) after realizing they've been dealing with it their whole life.

  • I've looked into this as I had a phase where I wanted to bequeath my various bones to my friends, family, and enemies after my death.

    The best way to clean a skeleton is with dermestid beetles. They are most commonly used at natural history museums for preparing animal bones, but I couldn't find any that would work with humans. Your best bet is to find a private entity with experience in preparing bodies for scientific study. Alternatively, you could source the beetles yourself - this would likely take longer as you need quite a few, so storage will be a concern, but you wouldn't need to worry about transport which has more legal considerations. Once the beetles have done their work, the bones themselves keep quite well if stored properly - no different than animal bones.

    Unfortunately the whole processes seemed cost prohibitive so I'll probably just ask to be dumped in a forest somewhere

    • Structures count as well, so if you're flying within 400ft of a 400ft tall building, you can fly up to ~800ft.
    • Carrying a jar of dirt sadly does not work.
    • No fly zones and certain classes of airspace (such as near airports, active stadiums) always take priority over this.
    • These rules are highly location and country/province specific.

  • They're expensive but not really overpriced. Boox tablets are essentially Android tablets with highly specialized screens.

    Eink screens (particularly high refresh rate screens, like what you're looking for) are still a relatively new tech and don't have the cost benefits of more matured technology like LED/LCD. The cheap eink screens you see have very slow refresh rates and don't offer the same pixel density, with harsher gradients.

    I'd reccomend getting one used, or waiting for a seasonal sale. I've had one for a while and I love it.
