  • My brother does it to my mom specifically in crowds. He picked it as a scout during crowded meetings and it stuck. He’s in his 30s now.

  • My husband has set up a pihole and it’s the best ever. It used to run off an actual raspberry pi but now we have a home server and he got it set up on there. Literally yesterday he also added Tailscale to our computers and phones and it seriously rocks my socks. I don’t even exactly know what it does but suddenly I’m not getting any ads while at my in-laws house on their WiFi so, score! I am not tech savvy enough to know about these things, much less set them up myself, but I am super thankful that my husband aggressively hates ads and I get to benefit from his crusade against them.

  • I thought it was young Obi-Won imagery

  • In a related vein, specifically scissors in blister packs. It’s like whoever made the decision to package scissors that way wanted to put more evil into the world.

  • I did that to my husband in our 20s and 30s. Now in our 40s I can no longer tell which one it was that was rogue because there are too many competitors… we gave up.

  • Wait wait, are you saying it’s impossible to change people’s minds about cats, or impossible to change cats” minds?

    I mean, maybe both lol

  • I’m primarily a fantasy reader. I never assume anything related to time or place, lol.

  • It’s pretty garbage. I don’t trust the AI summary whatsoever. Just today I was trying to find out more information about something in a YouTube video, and it tried to tell me that no such thing existed when that’s what the YouTube video was literally documenting.

I know I need to de-google my life but I also know that it will take work and, well, inertia.

  • I’m a musician, and I like to write. I hate it. My husband uses it to help him code (I think; I have zero functional knowledge of his industry) and says it can be used in that capacity in certain ways.

The number of times I’ve heard peers say “I put this into chat gpt and it said…” makes me want to throw up. We think disinformation is bad now? We have no idea what’s coming.

  • Disclaimer: I know very little about stamps and ink; feel free to disregard me. But could it be used and/or meant for wax instead of ink?

  • I was advised to skip it and I still have not seen it. Don’t plan to change it. I like to pretend nothing bad ever happened to Tripp!

  • One of our cats likes to give my husband “hugs.” She climbs up on his shoulder just like that. He is definitely her person.

  • Wait wait wait, for real? I’m 42, how did I not know this?

The real LPT is always in the comments.

  • My dog doesn’t insist on joining me in the bathroom, but one of my cats always does, and another often does. (I have 3.)

  • Not fair to cats, lol

  • I have to give my 14yo cat pills now and if that second shot of the cat with a pill in its mouth isn’t photoshopped, I’m seriously impressed by the photographer.

  • Looks like a Tesla screen, so it’s all okay because the car is self driving.

    /s

  • My husband is this way. I take advantage of it regularly. I used to consider myself tech savvy but I went into the arts and the tech world left me behind. I used to try and muddle through it, but eventually I just stopped trying because I’d be doing everything “right” without success and then my husband would look over my shoulder and suddenly it would work. So now I swallow my pride and ask him sooner.

  • On Reddit (sorry) a million years ago, someone posted an image or maybe a gif that made it super clear for me and I’ve never had trouble with it since. It basically explained where in the process to turn your wheels. That said, I was an okay parallel parker already but my skills improved after I saw that gif. I’m not finding it on the web though otherwise I’d share it happily.

Strangely enough, I went to high school in a downtown area and often parked on the left side of a one-way street and therefore my parallel skills on the left are better than the right.

All that being said, I find trailer skills to be awe inspiring!
