  • Why?

  • I floss, rinse, then brush. The fluoride content of toothpaste is much higher than rinse, so I’d rather end having that on my teeth than a weaker dose from the rinse.

  • Yeah you loosen up every thing and then brush it out. Actually, I floss, swish, then brush. I end with brush because the fluoride concentration in toothpaste is much much higher than in most fluoride mouthwash. I’d rather leave that on my teeth after I’m done.

  • MrBabyMan was a user who posted lots of content that made the front page of digg.com, back when it was a hip start up run by Kevin Rose and before it collapsed and most of its users migrated to Reddit. Early on at digg, it was pretty easy to make the front page, but over time it became really difficult and digg kept updating their algorithm to make it harder in an effort to discourage spammers and people gaming the system. However, despite all of this MrBabyMan was always able to get posts to the front page. It was multiple per day if I remember. So MrBabyMan was a power user.

NPR even did a story on him: https://www.npr.org/2008/05/23/90755408/an-internet-tastemaker-diggs-himself-a-hole

  • You were there at the beginning too, I see

  • There is no need for the internet to use remote start

  • Well — Amazon has made package delivery such a common thing that few people would have the time to be around during package delivery hours because they are at work. Few people can go home from work just to wait for a package.

  • At work once, some guy was watching YouTube videos in the bathroom stalls with sound on. He was also laughing at the videos. What a fucking weirdo! What kind of animal does this?

  • No ringing or text ping noise either. Use vibrate like a civilized human.

  • Throw it in the dryer for 3 mins

  • Is this a meme?

  • When I play online games I just mute everyone. Gaming is my relaxing time and I don’t feel like listening to people throwing around insults or being obnoxious. There is very little team strategy discussion in most games anyway.

  • It’s weird to me that the tobacco companies hadn’t managed to bribe the GOP into legalization of marijuana a couple decades ago or more as smoking cigarettes became a taboo.

  • Microsoft will under invest in the space and then panic when someone releases a viable product.

  • It’s funny that Apple was added later given that it is the most valuable company by market cap … it’s seen the highest stock growth of any company on earth.

  • Agreed and they have an average tenure of like 1.2 years, but their stock vesting schedule gives you 5% in year one, then 15%, 40%, and 40%. So you’re pretty likely to never get whatever carrot they dangle in front of you.

  • Well to be fair, they are annoying as hell to operate.

  • I really do wonder if Amazon will run out of people willing to work for them someday. Their approach assumes there is an infinite supply of workers to burn through. Given everything I’ve witnessed from the company, I’d never work there. Do they at some point poison the labor pool against them?
