  • No you see, it's like when you're doing really good in a song in Guitar Hero, like you haven't missed a single note even through the tricky first solo, but then you miss a random note in the chorus that you've already played flawlessly twice. After that you just start missing notes left and right because the possibility of perfection is gone.

They shot a white lady in the face, that pretty much barred them from "perfection" so here we are, in the "fuck it" phase

  • Napoleon and Kip can finally time travel

  • I used to be a pharm tech. Filling prescriptions was chill, because it meant you didn't really have to do too much thinking, just scan the bottles, count, and slap a label on it. It was really frustrating as an AuDHD haver because I would sometimes just start talking to myself in my head or paying attention to literally anything besides how many pills I'd counted. Like I'd need to count out 30 pills and next thing I know I'd just have a huge pile of pills that I'd "counted" by 5s but I'd have zero clue how many were there lol.

  • Solid rec. System is the band for this. Prison System and Deer Dance have been up there with my favorite songs since the first time I heard the album.

All research and successful drug policies show that treatment should be increased, and law enforcement decreased, while abolishing mandatory minimum sentences.

    BYOB is off Mezmerize, though.

  • Good God I agree with you but reading your comment made me want to disagree with you

    Bruh

    WTF bruh

    On God fr bruh

  • The corner is laying down. The would be no supports in either case, and the fillet avoids hard turns while the chamfer still has two (less sharp) angles.

Like 99% of things in 3D printing, "Xs are to be preferred over Ys" is an entirely circumstantial statement that is never going to be true all of the time.

  • You might try adding a small fillet or chamfer to the inside corners of the model. 3D printers don't like making sharp, pointed turns; rounded edges (or wider angled turns) tend to print much better.

The rounded (fillet) corners will probably be less visible, and will prevent the start / stopping point where the problem is occurring

  • I mean, implying that a woman would only go to the gym to make herself attractive is kind of an asshole thing to do, I don't think dropping your line would've changed her mind

  • I've told this story before and I'll tell it again.

4th grade Teacher of the Year winner and current sitting member of the school board Mrs. S. had a strict rule when lining up after recess:

"Straight line, no talking, no touching."

The bell would ring, and we'd all run to our respective, numbered spots on the playground, in a straight line, without talking, and certainly not touching, one another. Then, Mrs. S. would walk out to us, and we'd recite the line:

"Straight line, no talking, no touching."

    And she'd lead us inside.

One day, returning from recess, the kid in front of me, Joe, was crying while standing on his number. Foolishly, I set my hand on his shoulder, and asked, "Are you alright?" Mrs. S. arrived just in time to rectify the situation. I watched as she strode up to me, staring daggers into my soul, and I yanked my hand off of my fellow student's shoulder, but the damage was done. Towering over me, inches away, she shouts to the class, "Class, what is the rule?"

"Straight line, no talking, no touching."

"Papalonian, what is the last part?"

    "No touching."

    "No... Touching."

I received my first and only citation for the rest of my elementary school years. Ever thankful will I be for learning the lesson that empathy (towards someone I didn't even like) shall never be tolerated when the rules forbid it.

  • there are now blind Barbies

    emotional impact of seeing oneself

    I'll leave

  • Hey, nice fix.

Only thing I'd look at is maybe adding a slope to the little protruding rectangle, so the model can be printed on its front/ back side without supports or losing quality on the first few layers of the notch. Based on the complete photo, it looks like only the lower side of the rectangle that's resting on the monitor needs to be there, you can make that a small angled lip instead of the block.

  • We don't.

    Why change perfection?

  • I'm not sure I understand how other countries formerly thinking the US is "cool" has anything to do with Philadelphia being recognized as an American name or not.

  • That's like Hank Hill finding out that Bob Strickland uses an electric oven.

  • I really like round corners with a small radius. Just a handful of pixels so the corner isn't a perfect square, barely noticeable but feels smoother to me. When Windows start to look like app icons, that's too far.

  • I honestly think they lose respect for me

    We do.

I know it's incorrect, and an unfair assumption, but whenever I see someone using light mode for anything, I assume it's because they don't know how to change it.

  • How many chips are you guys eating? There's enough chips in those bags for several normal sized portions of chips. You're not supposed to eat them until you're full

  • Quick, someone send this post to the white house

  • Can we stop posting this shit? It was an obvious joke. Keep eating this garbage up and we're in the same boat as the maga crowd.
