  • Don't like sports but have never been a fan of this take. It feels indirectly homophobic (in that you're saying something that you know is not sexual in nature is gay because you know the other person will view it as a negative or bad thing) and would probably not be taken as much of a joke if it were, say, a gay man watching women's volleyball and their straight friends harassing him about actually being straight.

Just my two cents, I'm sure it's fine in the right circles.

  • I wouldn't say "amazing", but I fly around the country working on equipment worth more than your house.

  • It's kinda crazy how confidently you can state something so verifiably false. Thousands of successful engineers, artists, IT supports, etc are getting high off their asses the minute they get home. Makes me wonder what other stereotypes you judge people based on.

  • kicked off on Friday, May 1, in Bellville, Texas.

Kid Rock is expected to close out the show on Saturday, May 1.

They can't even report the schedule correctly, what a mess

  • You're there to voice chat while gaming.

And while doing so, one might want to do one of the things they listed.. being able to quickly share screens is a huge part of discord for my group, we're always showing each other new games we're playing or helping each other out on games we're playing together

  • If that's what they're going with, that's much more approachable, assuming it has most of everything you need to adapt most printers.

I wonder, what is the difference between the dedicated prusa kit, and the standard one? If the normal one is meant to convert any printer, why would one go for the more expensive set?

  • Has anyone seen any recent pricing for the standalone kit? In a video a while back I remember them estimating around $250 for the base hardware and $40-60 for each nozzle. I'm hoping that $250 base price hasn't gone out the window. I was planning on building a voron 2.4 later this year with the INDX in mind.

  • I mean, isn't it odd that the statistic reported uses that age range? I don't wanna defend Fixed News for anything they do, but if the range they're given is 15-19, and they want to say that "young adults" (18 to early 20s) birth rates are down, they have to include the 15 year olds.

It's really strange that the data available lumps "barely old enough to be biologically capable of bringing a child to term but mentally and emotionally incapable of making their own informed decisions" into the same category as "legal adult who may have taken deliberate action to prepare and plan for a pregnancy". I'd be curious to see how splitting the ages up to something like 14-17 and 18-21 would effect the data, and what was reported.

  • Can you please upload some screenshots of the model you're printing in the slicer, and the related settings? That's really odd behavior.

  • It isn't an "infill" setting. It's "top/bottom" settings. I don't what slicer you're using, but every slicer should give you the option to set the number of top layers and bottom layers.

  • Thankfully, if that hard-to-get little vixen of a teenager lied about what school she goes to, he likely has the resources to look up her school and home address!

  • CNC Kitchen did a video a few years ago demonstrating that infill percentage has little to no effect on part strength, provided the rest of the print (walls, floors, ceilings) has enough material to grab on to.

This is a pretty slop-py article.

  • I feel like 37+ is really not that strange of an age to have lost both your parents. That's an odd reaction.

  • The entirety of voron is an open source project, they do not make or sell printers or parts. None of their printers are designed for this size, though. People have definitely made custom ones larger than the schematics but there are drawbacks for going even 50-100mm over the normal max of 350mm, doubling it would certainly require more engineering than "print some parts longer"

  • Why would slotted be better than, say, Phillips for flat mount? Most of the flat heads on the equipment at work is either a Phillips or hex

  • I was expecting it to go some SovCit route

  • I'm flying back home from a work trip soon, and later tonight we're launching the dnd campaign I've been writing.

  • Using your previous few questions as context, I'm gonna say you call this "a really fun and fast 7 months", which at your age is totally fine.

  • I have to ask what the flight was
