  • Doubt it. But maybe he just took a bunch of sleeping pills or something. Dunno how any of this works or if the police would be forced to investigate or whatever. Maybe it's just one of those stories where you know you're dying but you're hanging on to finish something and once that's done you let go and die finally. Could be that as well.. or it's all just a coincidence, why not. But my version seems more Ozzy.

  • Overrated in the sense that it's not a top 30 movie? Yeah, I can definitely pick at least 50 films that I think are better. It was definitely a good film, tho. Been a long time so I don't remember specifics, but I don't remember it feeling like multiple films stitched together or anything. And even if it did, it could be argued that it's an artistic decision? Since it shows different times in their lives. Hell, for most people Sunday 29th vs Monday 30th can make two vastly different movies.

    Then again, I'm not that picky about movies nor am I much of a critic so I don't really know what I'm talking about xD

  • Heavily reduced meat and animal product consumption but not yet vegan, no. It requires more research and time and energy than I have right now to fully switch. (And a few more good recipes, because many are quite meh, for some reason) But I'll get there eventually.

    And vegans haven't been rude to me, thanks for your concern. It's not about that, even. But all those jokes that are floating around haven't been created by the meat industry. It's not some conspiracy. You know the phrase "you catch more flies with honey than with vinegar"? That's all I'm saying.. and it's not even about veganism.. it's about life in general. People are way too angry, especially online. Too quick to judgement and insults. They say the same thing about leftists.. that they're too busy fighting amongst themselves rather than focusing on what matters.

    Disagreed with plenty of people in real life, but it's never been like this. Never heard the phrase "meat eater" in real life, even tho I've talked with plenty of vegans. Same for "tankie" and a bunch of others.

  • Yeah, because calling everyone "meateaters" and pretending they're all equal and that killing puppies to make make a movie and eating chicken is the same thing. Yeah, that's a perfectly normal and healthy way to spread the message.

    People would be a lot more open to discussion and change if you weren't so confrontational. The fact that you felt the need to disagree with someone that said the world needs more vegans proves my point, I'm pretty sure, but whatever, you do you.

    But in all seriousness now.. every group out there, no matter how moral or good or whatever will always have extremists and people like this that will give the group a bad name. Unfortunately, veganism has a lot of these. Which is a shame, because we really need more vegans.

  • Tout le bleu du ciel - 2025 Netflix french movie. The whole roadtrip thing made me watch it and I enjoyed it. Might be what you're looking for as well.

    And speaking of road trips, Into the Wild. Amazing movie, amazing soundtrack by Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder.

    Both movies quite sad and beautiful.

  • Oh, that makes me wanna play it even more. Every single time I play a big RPG like witcher, cyberpunk, Baldur's Gate, kingdom come, etc. I enjoy the first half and then I just speedrun the rest to finish the story. There's nothing wrong with a 10-30hour game, honestly. Hell, a short hike is like 1-3 hours and I don't feel bad at all for buying it.

  • Closest one to Vatican is like 10 min drive or 40-ish min walk. It's most likely forbidden to shit there plus it's also unlikely that he makes the trip every time he needs to go. They might have a secret forest hidden underneath the Vatican, however. We may never know.

  • A few months ago, objection(op) was arguing for third party. Now he comes in this thread and makes fun of the people defending Biden. I told him that him voting third party was just as useless as the people defending Biden. Both stances were shit. That's what I said. Or at least that's what I meant, maybe it didn't come across as such. My comment was aimed at op.

    Also, nice, you're accusing me of lying by twisting my words and completely ignoring my question regarding your correlation/causation fallacy. And apparently I'm Trump in this conversation.

  • What? In 2024 stein got 870k, RFK got 750k, Oliver got 650k and de la Cruz got 168k.

    In 2020 jogergensen got 1.85 mil, Hawkins got 400k de la Fuente got 90k, and a few others around the same

    In 2016 Johnson got 4.4 mil, stein got 1.4 mil, mcmullin got 730k.

    If anything, third party voting has gone down. How can you claim that was because of third party voting? Poor performance from the DNC doesn't mean good performance for third party.
